WORK IMMERSION STUDENT
This experience would not have been possible without the guidance and the help of
several individual who in one way or another contributed and extended their valuable
assistance in the preparation and completion of this work immersion. First and foremost
my utmost gratitude to my second mom Ms. Jasmin Dumlao, where sincerity and
encouragement I will never forget. To my dearest Father Mr. Christopher Gacayan, and
my one and only beloved Mother Mrs. Florentina Gacayan and to my friends these
people’s have been my inspiration as I hurdle all the obstacle in the completion of this
immersion. To all my instructors, for the insights they shared to me and to my classmates.
Last but not the least, the one above all of us the God for answering my prayers for giving
me the strength to plod on despite my constitution wanting to give up Thankyou so much
dear God.
CESARIO’S GARDEN RESTAURANT
Cesario’s Garden Restaurant started last year November 2018, the owner of this
restaurant is Mr. Cesar Armas Vidal but not only did he build the restaurant but his
childrens also, contributed in this restaurant. Cesario’s Garden Restaurant is commited to
providing her guest with home-quality services. Cesario’s offer your Lutong-Bahay
Favorites, that will satisfy you cravings.
The Cesario’s Garden Restaurant has made of cement their chairs and tables. With
its homely meals and the Cesario’s offers their guest a sense of belongingness, an aura of
familiarity with a relaxed and friendly attitude and their waiter/waitress is very friendly
and accommodating with their customers. Cesario’s offer KTV Room ( Karaoke Televison)
they have Farm KTV Room, Evergreen KTV Room, Sunflower KTV Room and Galaxy
KTV Room worth 2,500 pesos or 3,000 pesos per 3hours but they have a choice Set A, Set B
or Set C but if they want to add another 1hours they need to add 350 pesos
Narrative Report
This narative report contains the experiences, learnings, insights gained and some
supporting documents required for the Graduation S.Y 2019-2020. On the job training or
OJT is one method by wish students is given a chance to apply the theories and
computations that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to acquire
relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting.
I, Chrislyn Gacayan a TVL student from San Jacinto National High School had
completed a total of Eighty (80) hours of restaurant practicum with Cesario’s Garden
Restaurant in Embarcadero, Mangaldan Pangasinan from October 21, 2019 to November
05, 2019.
On the first day of my internship, I felt so nervous to commit mistakes because I was
a newbie at that time and I also felt afraid mostly when I was having a conversation with
the superiors and other staff of the restaurant. But in that moment I realized, I need to
prove that I am firm, flexible and versatile in any kind of circumstances. And I often
showed them my best to make them amazed.
During my OJT days, I often practiced myself to wake-up early in the morning just
to be on-time and until now I am so proud to myself because I maintain it. I did welcoming
the guest and taking their orders but I feel a little bit nervous and lastly, I would like to
mention the most unforgetable and most tiring activities, which happened in the
Restaurant on the day of Thursday around 12 noon many people came to restaurant and
we didn’t know what to do because call there call here we didn’I know what people would
do until 3pm of course many people came here in the restaurant that’s why there’s a lot of
plates to wash. Then, at the end of the day, I will give myself enough time to rest to get
ready for the next tiring day.
Grueling yet enjoyable. Enjoyable because I knew these are the works that I may
attain in the near future. And I hope it may come true.
As time went by, I learned to coummunicate other people, I learned how to take
order properly and to serve the guest. I also observed proper time management and act
with speed and urgency. I will not forget this internship mostly the last day, which is
November 05, 2019. Yes, it was the day I end my internship, but that day I totally
developed my personality and capabilities.
MY DIARY
DAY 1
This picture taken on October 21, 2019, this is the first day of my OJT in Caesario’s
Garden Restaurant. In that picture as you can see that I was cleaning the waiter station
and wrapped the tissue with the spoon and forks.
I was very nervous because it’s my first time being a waiter, but our dining
supervisor appointed buddy waiter’s for the ojt’s. They help us and taught us all the dining
standards and procedures. They taught us the proper table setting. This is the first task for
me, and I got it easily. I also learned to handle guest, but first I got very shy when the first
customern ask me about the menu, but later on, I got used to it.
DAY 2
My 2nd Day, October 22, 2019 it was rough many customers arrived in the
establishment, and my task is to buss out tha plated and glasses and reset tha table settings,
but later, I learned to work under pressure. Working with precision and accurate. This is
the day that many customers are asking me for dringking water and extra tissue, what a
day, very tiring day.
DAY 3
Third day, October 23, 2019 my buddy waiter Ate Princess said that we would clean
the four KTV Rooms (Karaoke Television). And we went to the KTV Room to start
cleaning, we took the broom and mop and etc.
Day 4
My fourth day, October 24, 2019 on the establishment thrusday morning I got up
very early today my buddy waiter told me to clean a spoon and fork, and after that swept
the floor and set up the waiter stations for the dining operations. It was a fine day, many
regular customers arrived in the establishment.
DAY 5
October 25, 2019 it’s been a five days in the establishment, I learned how to handle
complaints. Juliena and I is going to served the food to our customers. I’m very careful in
serving the food for the customers. My buddy waiter liked my work in the restaurant.
DAY 6
This day is very dull, only a few customers arrived in the establishment. The wife of
Mr. Cesar arrived today. She checked our uniform and checked if it is complete. She is
very strict regarding the Cesario’s waiters uniform.
DAY 7
October 29, 2019 this picture taken at the Kitchen and Cooking Station of Cesario’s
Restaurant, as you can see in the picture we adjust the placement of the pancit and we add
an extra ingredient.
DAY 8
October 30, 2019 i woke up late today, I’m 2 minute’s late. I need to step up and do
my job, duties and responsibilities as a waiter. I felt weak today, so I bought a energy drink
to power me up. And after I drink we went to KTV Room again then we clean it.
DAY 9
This is second to the last day November 4, 2019. This is the day is very tiring but
also enjoying. There’s a lot of customer’s came here in the establishment. After that 5pm
it’s time to go home and take rest because I’m tired.
DAY 10
This is our last day in Cesario’s Garden restaurant, November 05, 2019 I learned to
coummunicate other people, I learned how to take order properly and to serve the guest. I
also observed proper time management and act with speed and urgency. I will not forget
this internship mostly the last day, which is November 05, 2019. Yes, it was the day I end
my internship, but that day I totally developed my personality and capabilities.
HIGHLIGHTS
This picture taken October 26, 2019 it is a birthday celebration for their beloved
Lola Gloria she is celebrating a 75th birthday and her familiy and relatives are there. Inang
Gloria is very happy because all family members are there. Her daughter was very happy
because seeing Lola Gloria’s happiness in this day.
