On February 18, 2019, the Youth Development Affairs Office of Laguna conducted a Love
Revolution Seminar for the students of City College of Calamba, it is held at LLC Auditorium, Calamba
Elementary School, Calamba City. The said Seminar is thereby supported by our Provincial Governor,
Ramil Hernandez and his beloved wife Hon. Ruth Mariano-Hernandez. This was the second time that the
YDAO conducted a seminar in partnership with the Office of Students Affairs, City College of Calamba. The
Love Revolution Seminar includes the discussion of HIV awareness, Smoking Cessation, Teenage
Pregnancy, and Teenage love. The main objectives of this seminar is to be an eye opener for the youth
most especially- youth of the Province of Laguna, also to guide them on the right path that they should be
in.
The program proper started on the discussion of “Smoking Cessation” it is then lectured by Mr.
Mark Anthony Sherwin DIzon. According to him, “smoking cessation is to quit or stop smoking” as we all
know smoking is harmful to us aside from it can cause diseases it also contributes to the pollution to get
even worser. Addiction to smoking can cause cancer and other severe and serious health programs
relating to the lungs, and according to Mr. Dizon the Department of Health (DOH) in partnership with the
Local Government Units (LGU) have provided programs/ways that will help smokers to finally quit smoking.
One way is the Counseling. In counseling, users will be informed of the harmful effects of smoking in our
body through that users will be aware that smoking was generally has no good effect in our body and would
be enlightened to quit smoking. Behavior therapies and medicines are also used to help person to quit
smoking.
It is followed by Ms. Renemee Lozano who lectured about “Teenage Pregnancy.” It is one of the
problems that our country is trying to resolve, with its increasing number is also the increasing number of
population and poverty as well. Ms. Lozano said that “one of 10 young Filipino women, ages 15-19 is
already a mother or pregnant with First child, she stressed that must of the women who got pregnant on
their teenage lacks knowledge about family planning and is undergraduate or never been attended school.
Ms. Lozano emphasizes that having a supportive and trustworthy family and friends will help women to
Ms. Elizabeth Zafra after the discussion of Teen Pregnancy, lectured about HIV, where she
discussed the nature of HIV, how it is required and its symptoms. HIV is the appearance of clinical
manifestation of AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, in this state, the person presents with
opportunistic infection of unlimited extent and possibilities. This deficiency, according to Ms. Zafra, is also a
viral infection that affects and slowly destroys the immune system of an infected person that leads to
immune deficiency. It is progressive and can lead to lack of body defense to all kinds of infection including
these and that don’t normally infect man and can also lead to cancer susceptibility. Ms. Zafra also satated

Before ending the program, Hon. Charisse Anne Hernandez lectured and shared her knowledge
about love and the process of dating. She emphasized that dating is an important aspect before entering
any kind of relationship, dating enables couples to get to know more of each other, become aware of the
strength and weaknesses and how are they going to deal with those. Hon. Cha then told the students that
“ang mga kabataang nagmamadali, madalas nagkakamali,” she stressed that it is important to do not rush
things especially love and relationship. As her final statement, Hon. Cha emphasized that “love comes at
the right time, at the right place with the right person.”

NARRATIVE REPORT FOR FLAG CEREMONY WITH THE INCOMING AND OUTGOING OFFICERS
The City College of Calamba have their annual meeting where in all the old officer of different
organizations have their big obligation to past their chair to other person which is part of the new officer.
Before they start the meeting Dr. Ronald Aquino Gonzales gave his inspirational speech that may
enhance and arouse the heart of the aspirant officer that are leading to become better person and leader of
different organizations.
One of the participants is The LAGABATA where Kimberly Umali turn over his position to the
young aspirant to become part of their organizations, to continue the good and moral dilemma that
LAGABATA have, due to transferring of obligation as a president. The LAGABATA was so proud that there
are still people wants to continue what is done and to follow the good deeds done by the LAGABATA
organizations.
