CloudReady QA Process PDF
Our QA process ensures that the 200+ certified models all provide a great CloudReady experience. Below is a
description of the features and accessories tested and supported by CloudReady for all Certified Models.
No guarantees are made for machines that are not certified.
Some non-critical features may have special cases where they are not present or supported on a model - these details
are noted via the links on our Certified Models List.
Google We make sure that devices are enrollable and compatible with
Enrollment Google’s online Management Console, so that CloudReady machines
can be managed alongside traditional Chromebooks. CloudReady’s

Critical
Power All laptops are tested to confirm that they show a battery percentage
Functionality Management in the system tray.
Sleep & All models are tested to ensure they can sleep and resume without
Resume issue.
Ethernet All supported CloudReady machines with ethernet ports are checked
for this functionality.
WiFi Built-in wifi chips are supported on all CloudReady models, though
a reset may be required after initial install. Many USB wifi adapters
work, but none are officially supported.
Connectivity
Bluetooth Neverware enables and tests Bluetooth on most hardware models.
Where exceptions exist, they are noted on the sub-page for each
model on our Certified Models List.
USB Audio USB microphones, speakers, and audio-headsets are tested and
Input/Output supported on CloudReady, as long as no special drivers or extra
features (DAC, amplifier) are present.
1/8th Inch All models are tested to ensure they can sleep and resume without
Audio Output issue.
Audio &
Video Built-In Whenever a machine has built in speakers, they are tested for reliable
Speakers sound output and adjustable volume.
1/8th Inch Microphones and audio-headsets are tested for sound input on
Audio Input CloudReady. Some models may not support this input method.
Internal or USB This includes keyboard shortcuts, the Chrome OS function-keys, and
keyboard the machine-specific function-keys. In some cases, function keys
may behave differently than normal, but all functionality will still be
available.
Input Built-In SD If a laptop has a built-in SD card reader we make sure that standard
Card Reader data transfer can be done as expected using this medium. This
Devices feature may not work on all machines, with all SD cards, or with all
data storage formats.
Built-In For models which have a built in webcam, we ensure that cameras
Webcam work whenever possible. Some models, particularly Apple computers,
are not able to use their webcam.
