Formula: Average: of First N' Consecutive Numbers (If N Is Already Given / Known

The document provides formulas for calculating: 1) The sum and average of the first N consecutive natural numbers starting from 1. The sum is equal to N(N+1)/2. 2) The sum and average of the first N consecutive odd numbers starting from 1. The sum is equal to N^2. 3) The sum and average of the first N consecutive even numbers starting from 2. The formulas involve calculating N as (highest number - 1)/2. 4) Common formulas are provided that can calculate the sum or average of any series where the difference between consecutive terms is constant.

SUM OF ALL CONSECUTIVE NATURAL

NUMBERS (MUST START FROM 1 i.e. 1, If N = number of odd terms then sum =
2.3……n) Example: Sum of first 10 consecutive odd numbers i.e.
1, 3, 5…19

Formula: ------- (I) Sum= = 100

Where N is the number of terms. AVERAGE OF FIRST ‘N’ CONSECTIVE ODD

NUMBERS; (must start from 1 i.e. 1, 3, 5….n)
Example: 1+2+3+........ + 100
N=100 Formula: Average =N
Example: Average of first 10 consecutive odd numbers
i.e. 1, 3, 5 . . . . 19.
=> 50 (101) = 5050 Average = 10

SUM OF FIRST COSECUTIVE EVEN NUMBERS AVERAGE OF FIRST ‘N’ CONSECTIVE ODD
(Must start from 2 i.e. 2, 4….n. NUMBERS TILL ‘N’ (must start from 1 i.e. 1, 3,

Formula:

Where N=[ ]- 1 Example: Average of 1, 3, 5 . . . . 19.

Average = (19+1)/2 = 20/2 = 10

Example: 2+4+6+ ....... 100 COMMON FORMULA FOR ALL ABOVE (THE
N = (2+100)/2 - 1 = 50 SUM OF ALL TYPE OF NUMBERS IN ANY

Average = N+ 1
N=
Example: Average of 6 consecutive even numbers i.e.
Where d is the difference between two consecutive
2, 4,6,8,10,12
numbers.
Here N is given i.e. 6 so Average=6+1 = 7
Example: Sum of 16, 18, 20 ….…40.
AVERAGE OF FIRST ‘N’ CONSECUTIVE
To find “d” = 16 – 18 = 2
EVEN NUMBERS TILL ‘N’ (Must start from 2
