Airport Traffic Management System: Software Requirment Specification
Airport Traffic Management System: Software Requirment Specification
1.1 Purpose
This software requirement specification (SRS) document describes the
functional and nonfunctional requirements of the Airport Traffic
Management system (ATMS) release version 1.0. Business opportunity and
objectives is briefly summarized followed by detailed description of the
system’s scope, vision, use case, features and other related requirement
issues. This document satisfies phase 1 of COP 5725 and intended to be
used as a reference for group members. In the project’s later phases, such
as system design, database design, implementation and testing, this
document should be referred as functional model of the system for release
1.2 Document Convention
All system development activities should follow the final version of this
document. Any discrepancy that found during in later phases should be
modified subject to SRS. However, this document may be subject to change
dependent on the decision of the group members.
1.3 Project Scope
Air transportation is expected to continue growing during the next two
decades. In dealing with this growth it will be important to ensure safety
and minimize the costs of the system to the Government and airspace
users. Large investments are now anticipated in both airports and air traffic
control systems, investments that require unusually long lead times. This
project ensures to minimize the communication lag between coordination
between the internal departments and also reduce the Time for Boarding
for Both passengers and Airport Authority
