First Year BE

To study effectively: 1) Read class notes and handouts to understand concepts rather than memorize. Refer to additional materials like PMC to reinforce understanding. 2) Close materials and draw circuits to explain concepts to yourself, conveying understanding. 3) With theory clear, practice numerical problems by writing equations easily to solve any problem. Solve examples from materials and question banks. Hard work practicing circuits and problems is necessary to fully understand electrical concepts and perform well.

How to Study ?

 Refer handouts and class notes first read the concept understand it ; do not by-heart the things it
will not allow you to appreciate (feel) the concept.

 Read PMC, to understand representation skill of the concept.

 After understanding immediately close all the materials (notes) on page you draw the circuit and
start explaining the concept make sure you want to convey the concept to yourself.

"I assure you, in electrical once if you understand the circuits in depth you will never forget them but
you should spare some time on circuits to reach that level"

 Once theory is clear now, you start solving numerical as you have already witnessed in Basic
Electrical Engineering we have all substitution based numerical so if you are able to write
equation easily you can solve any numerical in the subject.

 Solve all solved numerical from PMC.

 Then refer question bank (previous year VTU question papers) shared with you make sure you
are able to answer all the questions.

There is no substitute to hard work, I am sure; if you all put some extra efforts we will sure reach good
heights at the end.
