Color Chants

This document contains short chants for different colors, each following a similar structure. For each color, the chant states that color twice, describes an action associated with that color (getting a bump on the head for red, eating an orange for orange, sitting on jello for yellow, feeling mean for green, being sick for blue, having a burple for purple), and includes an onomatopoeic sound related to that action (ouch, mmmm, yeah, grrr, achoo, excuse me). The chants are intended to teach colors to children in a fun, repetitive way.

RED
Red, red, red, I got a bump on my head… red, I got a bump on my
head – Ouch!

ORANGE
Orange, orange, orange, I was eating an orange… orange, I was
eating an orange – Mmmm!

YELLOW
Yellow, yellow, yellow, I was sitting on a jello… yellow, I was sitting
on a jello – Yeah!

GREEN
Green, green, green, I was feeling so mean… green, Iwas feeling
so mean – GRRR!

BLUE
Blue, blue, blue, I was sick with flu… blue, I was sick with flu –
Achoo!

PURPLE
Purple, purple, purple, I was having a burple…purple, I was having
a burple – Excuse me!
