Project Output:

The learners are to design a 10-day vacation plan for a family of four (two adults and two kids under 9 Commented [LBML(1]: Omit holiday
years). Learners to design the vacation plan for two different countries within the family’s budget.
Learners are to create a quotation covering both options on a Google Sheets in PKR currency and share
it with their teacher through Internet Cloud.

A group of 2-3 students should attempt the project. Kindly ensure to make the student groups and ask
them to plan their project accordingly with teacher’s guidance.

Computing: Internet Search Techniques, Spreadsheets and Google Drive (Photoshop)


Mathematics: Budgeting and Calculation
Geography: Development of a vacation plan

The Computing Teacher is required to have a coordination meeting beforehand with relevant subject
teachers to plan accordingly and execute the project focusing on its cross-curricular objectives and
research questions.

Project Timeline: 3 Weeks

Research Parameters:

Mentioned hereunder are their package plan requirements of the family:

 The overall package plan should not be more than Rs. 600,000/-
 The holiday vacation plan should be inclusive of visa fee, hotel accommodation and air tickets.
 They want to trip to be planned from 15th December 2019.
 The visiting country’s time should be +6 GMT.
 The want to spend a minimum of 8 days in that country excluding the air travelling time.
 They want a shared accommodation (2 rooms) in a 3-star hotel or higher.
 The distance of the hotel from the city’s airport should be less than 50 minutes.
 They prefer to take the flight with a maximum of two stopovers with lowest possible rates.

Quotation Format:

 Itemized costing is required for the calculation to complete package price.


 Mention all items/services price in separate rows.
 Enter the complete name of the hotel with its location.
 Enter the cost of return air-ticket of adults and minors in different rows.
 Mention the number of stopovers of the flights.
 All prices should be in PKR currency.
 Format the quotation in a way that family can compare the price of each item/service on a
single sheet.

Skills Assessment Sheet:

The ICT and relevant subject teachers should fill the skill assessment sheet accordingly. The subject
