Complete the table by writing the appropriate measuring tools and unit of measures to measure the following objects

Establishing a purpose for the lesson


The teacher will call the shortest and the tallest pupils in the class and will let them to measure the length of a piece of
wood using their body parts. The teacher will record the measurement on the board.

How will you describe the measurement of the two pupils? Why do you think their measurements vary? What shall we
do to obtain accurate measurement?
