EQHS ROBOTICS CLUB

Was organized and established August 2014 with the supervision of


REBECCA M. ROXAS, Education Program Supervisor under the leadership of
the Charter President, founder and organizer, MARLITA C. VITTO.

PRIMARY AIMS

To engage in various activities, projects and programs for the


promotion and development of robotics for national development, centred at:
a. Encouraging and supporting research and development in various fields of
robotics as well as
b. Creating and promoting public conscientiousness, awareness, sensitivity
and interest in all robotics related programs and projects.
c. Encouraging and promoting the transfer of appropriate technology in
robotics in order to obtain from the public the necessary cooperation and
commitment and implementing strategies that could best support national
development.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES

1. To initiate, encourage, support and/ or undertake studies and researches in


the field of robotics, particularly those that would enhance the knowledge of
the technology involved in robotics;
2. To conduct, lecture, conferences, workshop, training program;
3. To promote the involvement of youth organizations ans associations,
schools, professionals and civic groups in robotics;
4. To sponsor and coordinate contests, fairs, and exhibits on robotics with
science clubs and other organizations in schools and others;
5. To serve as a link between government agencies and instrumentalities in
the promotion and development of robotics in the Philippines;
6. To raise and/ or disburse funds in carrying out above stated purposes;

By Laws of EQHS Robotics CLUB

Article 1
MEETINGS

Section 1. Regular meetings- The regular meetings of the members shall be


held at the school of the head adviser on first Thursday of each month. The
President shall render his report to the members regarding the activities of
the organization. The election of officers shall also be held during the end of
every two terms during this meeting.
Section 2. Special meetings- Special meetings of the members shall be called
as the need thereof arises, by the President or upon the petition of 1/3 of the
general membership.

Section 3. Quorum- A quorum for any meeting of the members shall consist
of the 1/2 of the members and a majority of such quorum may decide any
question at the meeting.

Article II
OFFICERS

Section 1. Officers- The officers of the organization shall be a President, a


Vice-President Internal, a Vice-President External, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a
Business Manager, an Auditor, a Public Information Officer, and District
Coordinators I-VI High school and Elementary. They shall be elected by
members of the organization.

Section 2. Term of Office- All officers of the organization shall hold for two
years and until the successors are duly elected and qualified.

Article III
FUNCTIONS AND POWERS OF OFFICERS

Section 1. President- The President shall preside in all meetings of the


members of the organization. He shall execute all resolutions. He shall be
charged with directing and overseeing the activities of the organization. He
shall submit a complete report of the activities and operations of the
organization for the fiscal year under his term.

Section 2. Vice-President Internal- The Vice-President, if qualified, shall


exercise all powers and perform all duties of the President during the
absence or incapacity of the latter and shall perform duties that may be
assigned to him. He shall handle all the communications and assist the
President in all internal affairs of the organization.

Section 3. Vice-President External- The Vice-President, if qualified, shall


exercise all powers and perform all duties of the President during the
absence or incapacity of the latter and shall perform duties that may be
assigned to him. He shall handle all the communications and assist the
President in all external affairs of the organization.

Section 4. Secretary- The Secretary shall give all notices required by these
by-laws and keep the minutes of all meetings of the members in a book kept
for the purpose. He shall keep the seal of the association and affix such seal
to any paper or instrument requiring the same. He shall have custody of the
members register and the correspondence files of the organization. He shall
also perform all such other duties and work assign to him.

 Section 5. Business Manager- The Business Manager shall have charge


to prepare and to approve organization budgets. To aid treasurer in
reconciling the organization's accounts with the accounts of
the Business Office. He shall be responsible for overseeing operations in
organization and ordering and managing inventory (food and materials). He
shall also perform such other duties and functions as may be assigned to
him.

Section 6. Treasurer- The Treasurer shall have charge of the funds, receipts
and disbursements of the organization. He shall keep all moneys of the
organization. He shall also perform such other duties and functions as may
be assigned to him.

Section 7. Auditor- The Auditor shall have charge of the provision of an


independent opinion on the organization's financial statements, annually. He
shall also perform such other duties and functions as may be assigned to
him.

Section 8. Public Information Officer- The Public Information Officer shall have
charge in gathering facts and distribute them to the organization. They
produce printed material about their organization for dissemination to
the public. He may be responsible for disseminating information on special
events and activities of the organization. He shall also perform such other
duties and functions as may be assigned to him.

Section 9. District Coordinator- The District Coordinator shall play a key


leadership role in informing Teachers within the district they belong, He shall
act as a facilitator in the district, able to translate the organization’s vision
into practical implementation. He shall also perform such other duties and
functions as may be assigned to him.

Article IV
MEMBERS
Section 1. Qualifications for Membership- The officers shall determine the
qualifications of an applicant for membership.

Section 2. Eligible Member- The Eligible Member of the organization shall


belong to the Science section in High School and ICT/Science in elementary.

Section 3. Rights of Members – A member shall have the following rights:


a. To exercise the right to vote on all matters relating to the affairs of the
organization;
b. To be eligible to any elective or appointive office of the organization;
c. To participate in all deliberations/meetings of the association;
d. To participate in all seminars and trainings conducted by the organization
for professional growth.
e. To participate in all activities and community service conducted by the
organization.

Section 4. Duties and Responsibilities- A member shall have the following


duties and responsibilities
a. To obey and comply with the by-laws, rules and regulations that may be
promulgated by the organization from time to time;
b. To attend all meetings of the organization;
c. To pay membership dues and other assessments of the organization.

Article V.
SUSPENSION, EXPULSION AND TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

Suspension, expulsion and termination of membership, shall be in


accordance with the rules and regulations of the organization.

Any member of the association may file charges against a member filing a
written complaint with the secretary of the organization. The officers shall
call a special meeting to consider the charges. The affirmative vote of
majority of all officers shall be necessary to suspend a member; Provided
that where the penalty is expulsion, the affirmative vote of the majority of all
members of the organization shall be necessary.

Article VI
FUNDS

Section 1. Funds- The Funds of the organization shall be derived from dues,
admission fees, gifts, donations and division fund (if available).

Section 2. Disbursements- Withdrawal from funds of the organization thru


any other instrument shall be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by
the President.

Article VII
ROBOTICS ADVISER

Head Teacher shall be assigned as Robotics Adviser and shall Help


the organization identify its goals and should help members and officers to
clarify their areas of responsibility and related duties.
Article VIII
AMENDMENTS OF THE BY-LAWS

Section 1. Amendments- These by-laws, or any provision thereof, may be


amended or repealed by majority vote of the members and by a majority
vote of the officers at any regular or special meeting duly held for the
purpose.

Adopted this _____ day of _____________, 20 ____Elpidio Quirino High School,


Manila by the affirmative vote of the undersigned members representing a
majority of the members of the association in a special meeting duly held for
the purpose.
