PROJECT PROPOSAL OUTLINE FORM (PPOF)

All Dyes On You is a project that

A focuses on tie-dye shirt making. Tie-dye
is the practice of dyeing fabrics through
P a specific dyeing process. This specific
process includes tying the shirt to be dyed in a particular pattern and binding it in
U
place with rubber bands, clams or strings. Different colors of dye are then
applied to the shirt not bound with a rubber band. The area bounded will resist
the dye, resulting to a certain patternAon the shirt based on how it was bounded.
The class of B1 will conduct a tutorial in order to ensure the success of the
project with 2 to 3 activities, all tie-dye shirt making related, lined up for the
children. Through the activities prepared for them, the children would be able to
explore and enhance their creativity which would be a perfect way to spend their
leisure time.

III. PROJECT RATIONALE

Research shows that everybody has a creative bone in their body.

Creativity is one of the most important characteristics of a person and it helps an
individual to see things differently. It engages one’s mind and when immersing
one’s self with activities that explores creativity, such as tie-dye shirt making,
young people are not just listening/ absorbing, but they are exploring,
discovering and communicating. This can result to young people being more
active and present as members of society.

IV. PROJECT BENEFICIARIES

The project beneficiaries are 30 children from ages 7 to 15 years old.

Since they are children, they would enjoy the “messiness” and the colors from
the dye. They would enjoy experimenting and exploring the different color
combinations which would result to beautiful patterns on a shirt that they would
be able to wear

V. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

This project aims to:

 develop the skills and talents of the children

 build up the creativity, imagination and innovativeness of the children
 encourage and nurture teamwork, cooperation, solidarity and
