The key takeaways are that an ELD (Emergency Landing Device) is used to safely rescue passengers in an elevator to the nearest floor in the event of a power failure using battery power. It consists of components like batteries, transformers, boards and wiring.

An ELD system consists of components like batteries, transformers, boards, terminal blocks and wiring.

The procedure for ELD operation during a power failure involves supplying battery power, closing elevator doors, lowering the car to match the floor level, rescuing passengers, and then stopping power supply once operation is finished.

3. ELD operation procedure

 Check point – Before testing operation
1. Battery charge level check by HHT.
Idle voltage(BAT volt) : 54~55V
2. Turn off the NFB and ELD system, and wiring checked once again(right, tightly).
3. Remove the signal line EOF and EOF1 and insert Jumper test switch.
4. DC link scare setting by HHT.
INVERTER SETTING > FACTORY > DC link scale. (only for 1.2 ver)
* general type : 0.405 / Regeneration type : 0.388 Jumper test switch

 Manual steps remove

1. Turn on the Battery switch, ELD, NFB in procedure.

2. Check the status of each part by Monitor.
3. Turn off the Main NFB then check whether M1 contactor becomes turn off.
4. Check whether the M2 is turned on after 4 seconds.
5. Turn on the Test switch whether the M2 is turned on.
6. Check the EU, EV, EW voltages using multi-meter and check <EOR>,<EOR1> is closed.
7. Turn off the Test switch then check ELD operation is stopped.(M2 becomes off state).
8. Turn off the battery circuit breaker, switch on ELD and main circuit breaker on distribution panel.

3. ELD operation procedure

 ELD and Elevator interlinked test procedure

1. Check wiring connection between ELD and C/P.

2. In case of no using load compensation device, after make sure the load setting to automatic, check whether operation is well.
3. Turn on the battery switch and Main NFB1 on C/P.
4. in case the automatic mode of Elevator, turn off the main circuit on Building power.
5. The ELD operation is like below flow diagram. Confirm whether the elevator runs according to the diagram.
