New
in
V1.8
Non-quantised
record
You
can
now
record
synth
and
drum
tracks
directly
to
microsteps.
To
toggle
quantised
recording
on/off
press
shift
+
record.
The
record
button
will
be
brightly
lit
when
quantisation
is
enabled,
and
dimly
lit
when
disabled
(non-quantised).
This
choice
will
persist
through
session
change
and
power
cycle.
Synth
microstep
edit
Along
with
recording
non-quantised
patterns,
you
can
now
edit
the
microstep
of
individual
synth
notes.
1.
First
press
a
step
with
1
or
more
notes
assigned
to
it.
2.
Enter
gate
view
and
then
hold
shift
to
display
the
microstep
menu.
3.
The
purple
and
green
pads
represent
the
notes
assigned
to
the
step.
Press
a
purple
or
green
pad
to
select
a
note.
You
can
also
select
multiple
notes
by
pressing
them
simultaneously.
All
notes
are
selected
when
a
step
is
first
pressed.

Use
the
top
row
of
pads
to
edit
the
position
of
the
selected
note(s)
within
the
step
Per-note
velocity
It
is
now
possible
to
have
different
velocities
assigned
to
synth
notes
within
a
single
step.
Additionally,
with
fixed
velocity
disabled
(dimly
lit),
velocity
will
now
be
tracked
when
manually
assigning
notes
to
steps
(outside
of
record).
The
range
of
velocities
present
on
a
step
will
be
displayed
in
velocity
view.
Brightly
lit
pads
show
the
lowest
velocity
value
for
a
note
on
the
step,
while
dimly
lit
pads
show
the
highest
value.
Assignable
MIDI
channels
MIDI
channels
for
each
track
can
now
be
changed
from
the
setup
menu.
Press
Synth
1,
Synth
2
or
Drum
1/2/3/4
to
select
each
track
and
then
use
the
top
two
rows
to
assign
the
MIDI
channel
1-15
(channel
16
is
reserved
for
the
session).

Make
songs
We've
expanded
what’s
possible
with
the
Patterns
view,
allowing
you
to
now
make
complex
sequences
of
patterns
and
pattern
chains.
There's
a
new
Pattern
Chain
Sequence
function,
from
which
you
can
select
up
to
32
patterns
and
16
chains
of
patterns
in
any
order.

Tied/Drone
Notes
Each
step
now
has
a
tie-forward
setting,
so
it's
now
possible
to
tie
notes
together
in
order
to
create
drone
notes
and
long
ambient
pads.
Take
your
music
off
the
grid
It's
now
possible
to
take
your
music
off
the
grid
by
delaying
notes
on
a
step
from
one
to
five
ticks
(each
step
is
divided
up
into
six
ticks).
It's
also
possible
to
use
Synth
Micro-nudge
to
create
new,
more
complex
rhythms
like
triplets
across
the
beat.

creation

instant
fills

stutter
effects

your

retriggering

within

step.
Brightness
Setting
You
can

set
Circuit
to
‘dim’
so
that
it’s
more
comfortable
to
use
in
dark
environments.

toggle

or

modes

play
