344.70Mpa.
4. Design the T-beam to carry the given loads. Thickness of slab is 100mm and the beam is spaced at 2.4m on
center and have a thickness of 300mm and effective depth of 485mm, fc’ = 20.7MPa, fy = 413.7 MPa.
5. Design the T-beam for the floor system shown. If the floor has a slab thickness of 100mm which is supported by

web width of 300mm and a total depth of 550mm. Assume steel covering of 65mm. The beam carries a live load

6. Design the steel reinforcement of the T-beam shown which carries an ultimate moment Mu=136 kN-m, fc’= 20.7
MPa, fy = 414.7 MPa. The slab thickness is 100mm, the width of flange is 450mm and that of the stem is 300mm.
The T-beam has an effective depth of 440 mm.
1. Determine the safe resisting moment of the T-beam having a flange width of 630mm and 100mm thick. The
effective depth is 610mm and has a web width of 250mm. The T-beam is reinforced with 6-28mm placed in two
