This lesson plan teaches basic hand movements and positions in cheerdance over 1 hour. I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Discuss the following basic hand movements and positions in cheerdance
2. Interpret and perform the following basic hand movements and positions in
cheerdance
3. Participate actively during the activity

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

A. TOPIC: Basic Hand Movements and Positions in Cheerdance


B. REFERENCE: Physical Education and Health TMs/LMs
C. TIME ALLOTMENT: 1 hr.
D. MATERIALS: Visual aids, pictures, laptop/cellphone, speaker.

III. PROCEDURE:

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY

B. MOTIVATION:
“Millennials Cheer/Yell”
 Each group has to pick a letter on the board, each letter it has a
corresponding word and they will use to create a short cheer.

C. LESSON PROPER:
 Warm-up exercise
 Students will try to interpret the step-by-step instruction written on the board
 Students will perform the basic hand movements and positions in cheerdance
with the help of teacher

Basic Hand Movements and Positions in Cheerdance:

1. BEGINNING STANCE AND CHEER STANCE


2. CLASP AND CLAP
3. HIGH V AND LOW V
4. TOUCHDOWN AND LOW TOUCH DOWN
5. BOW AND ARROW
6. PUNCH
7. T MOTION AND HALF T
8. L MOTION AND DIAGONAL

1V. ASSESSMENT/ EVALUATION:

 Each group will create a simple cheerdance routine based on the basic hand
movements and positions they have learned from the lesson.
 They will use same music.
