English Journalism team, grabbed the 2nd place medal in Editorial Cartooning during the
Regional Schools Press Conference held October 8-11 at Malate, Manila.
His victory automatically booked him to join the much-coveted National Schools Press
Conference 2020 which will be held in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on February 17-21.
Since it will be his last year at BSHS, Alemanza vowed that he will give his best to get
the top podium finish in NSPC.

gradual implementation of the ban on single-use plastics.
She cited reports that the Philippines is the world’s third-biggest contributor of plastic

She said it is not ‘drastic’ since the city of Seattle’s policy gives customers plastic straws
and utensils, saying they were given a deadline to use up all existing single-use plastic utensils

the worst pollution in three years.
As smog levels exceeded those of Beijing by more than three times, authorities also

Construction was banned temporarily in the world's most polluted capital city, while
schools have been closed with the city government handing out free pollution masks to children.

teen standout secured the Philippines' first ever world artistic gymnastics gold in the men's floor
exercise with the score of 15.300.
Yulo bested Israel's Artem Dolgopyat (15.200), who placed 2nd, and China's Ruoteng
Xiao (14.933), who settled for the bronze, to become the first Southeast Asian male gymnast to
win a gold in the world.
Yulo is selected to be one of the flag bearers in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games that is
set to happen from December 1 to 9 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
