My Map
To get on task, I should know the answers to these questions.
WHO teaches?
WHO do teachers teach?
WHAT do teachers teach?
HOW do teachers teach?
HOW much of the teachers’ lessons were learned?

WHOM do we teach?
Who teaches? – Teacher

Quality education requires quality teacher. Good teachers bring a shining light into the learning
environment. They are ideal companions of the learners.

Who do the teachers teach? – The Learners

The learners are at the center stage in the educative process. They are the most important factors in the
learning environment. There is no teaching without them.

What do teachers teach? – Knowledge, Skills, Values

It should be remembered that what students learn will be absolute in ten years, and half of what they
need to know to succeed in work and life has not yet been fully developed and will have to be learned as they
go along in the future.

How do teachers teach? – Strategies and methods

Teachers to teach effectively, they must used appropriate methodologies, approaches and strategies.

How much of the teaching was learned? – Performance

Performance is the feature of a curriculum that should be given emphasis. A good curriculum is one that
results in high or excellent performance.

With whom we teach? – Community partner

Teachers must establish relationship with parents, NGO’s and their stakeholders. Partnership is a means
and not an end to be pursued in it.
My Tools
Interview a teacher in the school you visited and inquire how they have utilized their parents as
school partners in education.
The teachers should have to make or conduct any programs or activities that the
parents of the students are included or they are the reason of that specific activities in order
to make a good relationship between the teachers and the guardians or parents of the
children.

My Analysis

As a future teacher, I need to know and understand the six (6) features of the curriculum
because…

It will guide me especially to my teaching profession to implement better the

quality and appropriate education that the students must have to acquire and also,
not to compromise its quality.

My Reflections/ My Insights

While we will spend our entire career learning the different ways we can change our students’
lives, here are three aspects that I made that are directly affected by great teachers:

Both the teachers and the students have its specific roles in the implementation of the teaching-
learning process set in the curriculum. All aspects of learnings are very essential to each other
because they worked as a package in doing the teaching and learning that encompasses in the
curriculum
My Portfolio
Make two (2) posters/placards on the features/approaches of the curriculum.
