Giligan’s Island Restaurant & Bar was established in January of 1998. When
Giligan’s was incorporated earlier, Gilligan's service was very busy for bulk food
orders and they also offered catering services. It was established by George and
Leah Lois. Through their hard work and diligence, Gilligan’s has become a premier
dining establishment in the Capital area. In addition, Giligan’s greatly invest on
their interior design & decoration of marineinspired theme. Most artwork is
actually hand-picked and collections from travels abroad and some are collection
of antiques. Ropes overhead slinged across the ceiling, authentic ship’s wheel by
the entrance & old lanterns by the bar, antique maps framed and displayed by the
wall together with miniature sailing ships, lighthouses, pirates & captains, and
antique old ships, as well as encased nautical navigational instruments.
The restaurant’s first venture on Blue Ridge, Quezon City along Katipunan Avenue
was very successful. It paved the way to open their next branches. Today, Giligan’s
Restaurant is operating with more than 100+ branches nationwide and continue
expanding.
Gilligan's set their goals to provide with outstanding service and exceptional food.
Gilligan’s gained a reputation themselves in providing good food that is reasonably
priced with an outstanding quality. It’s also a family oriented restaurant. Some of
their menu features fresh seafood, perfectly seasoned steaks, hand cut veal and
homemade pasta dishes. Freshly baked sub rolls and healthy garden salads are all
made from scratch. There were also some costumers that made a feedback about
the food and service of the Gilligan's.
"The Filipino dishes are delicious and flavorful and many choices of dish. I want
the group menu, affordable for family or group of friends. Bit noisy and crowded."
- As what Alvin Bautista stated
"Loved their family packs or set meals. There are other restaurants on this side of
the mall but we always tend to gravitate towards Giligans. Love the sisig, garlic
chicken, sinigang, karekare!" - Mauku Ohana
" Surprisingly, their value meals (abot-kaya meals) are still being offered. Very
simple and modest meals (rice, viand, and soup) at less than 100 pesos. It can get
as low as 59 pesos. Good for light eaters. The decorations in this branch have
more quotes hanging on the wall. " - Unknown
They have a lot of branches allowing us to visit their restaurant and it will be very
convenient for all of us. Maybe the reason why Gilligan's is very succesful and
rejoicing until now is because, the customers is enjoying their foods and services
very well. Also, based on our interview that the key to the success of the
restaurant is 'The team work of the staffs and they are offering a helping hand to
each other' in order to run the restaurant well-managed.
