Angle-Sum and Difference Identities: Sin A/2 (1 - Cos A) / 2 Cos A/2 (1 + Cos A) / 2

This document outlines numerous trigonometric identities involving sums, differences, multiples, and half angles of trigonometric functions. It includes angle sum and difference identities for sin, cos, and tan. Multiple angle identities are provided for sin 2A, cos 2A, tan 2A, sin 3A, and cos 3A. Half-angle identities are given for sin(A/2), cos(A/2), and tan(A/2). Other important formulae involving combinations of trig functions are also listed.

Angle-Sum and Difference Identities

 sin (α + β) = sin (α)cos (β) + cos (α)sin (β)

 sin (α – β) = sin (α)cos (β) – cos (α)sin (β)

 cos (α + β) = cos (α)cos (β) – sin (α)sin (β)
 cos (α – β) = cos (α)cos (β) + sin (α)sin (β)
 tan (A + B) = (tan A + tan B)/(1 - tan A tan B)
 tan (A - B) = (tan A - tan B)/(1 + tan A tan B)
