Physical Science Definition

Physical science is a branch of natural science that studies non-living systems through disciplines like physics, chemistry, astronomy, and related subjects. It aims to understand natural phenomena through empirical evidence from observation and experimentation. Natural science more broadly is concerned with describing, predicting, and understanding the physical world and includes fields like biology, geology, and physics that study both living and non-living things through scientific methods.

-Physical science is a branch of natural science that studies non-living systems, in contrast to life

science. It in turn has many branches, each referred to as a "physical science", together called the
"physical sciences".

-the sciences concerned with the study of inanimate natural objects, including physics,
chemistry, astronomy, and related subjects.

Natural science
Description
Natural science is a branch of science concerned with the description, prediction, and understanding
of natural phenomena, based on empirical evidence from observation and experimentation.
Mechanisms such as peer review and repeatability of findings are used to try to ensure the validity of
scientific advances

a branch of science which deals with the physical world, e.g. physics, chemistry,
geology, biology.
 the branch of knowledge which deals with the study of the physical world.

Life science is the study of life and living things. Living things are also called organisms. Life
science is often referred to as biology. Life scientists work in many different settings, from
classrooms to labs to natural habitats.
Physics is the science of matter and its motion—the science that deals with concepts such as
force, energy, mass, and charge. As an experimental science, its goal is to understand the
natural world.
Chemistry is the study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to
form other substances, and how substances interact with energy. Many people think of chemists as
being white-coated scientists mixing strange liquids in a laboratory, but the truth is we are all
chemists.

Cosmology is a branch of astronomy that involves the origin and evolution of the universe, from
the Big Bang to today and on into the future. According to NASA, the definition of cosmology is
"the scientific study of the large scale properties of the universe as a whole."
Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and
galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as the cosmic
background radiation).
