3. How does a food binge (such as in Binge-Eating Disorder) differ from “normal” overeating?

Answer 3: Individuals with binge-eating disorder engage in recurrent episodes of binge eating
and experience a loss of control over eating but do not regularly engage in purging behaviors.
The major complication of binge-eating disorder are the health problems associated with
obesity, which include diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol levels, gallbladder
diseases, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.
