Getting Started

Download and Install Font

Glasgow uses the font Dosiswhich can be downloaded for free. Install Medium and ExtraBold.

Windows 7 and Windows 8: Download the font zip file and expand. The expanded folder will
contain a TTF or OTF file. Right click the file and select 'Install'. Windows will automatically add
the font to your directory.

Mac: Download the font zip file and expand. The expanded folder will contain a TTF or OTF file.
Double click the file and select 'Install Font' from the pop up window.

Note: Following installation, if an error message window called 'Font Validation' pops up, check the font listed
and select 'Install Checked'.

Launch Project

Double click the .aep file in your download folder to launch the project. If you've successfully
installed your font beforehand, the project should open without error.

Import Assets

To customize your project, you'll want to import logo, photos, video, and/or music. To import,
highlight the 'Assets' folder in your Project Panel, then select File>Import in the menu bar. A
window called 'Import File' will launch. Select assets from your hard drive, then click 'Open' in
the lower right corner of the window. All files will be placed in the 'Assets' folder.

Step 1: Modify Images/Video

In the project panel, locate the folder called ‘Modify Images/Video’. Inside this folder are a group
of compositions.

Double click the first composition, drag your photo or video onto the canvas, and scale up to fit.
Repeat this task with each composition within the ‘Modify Images/Video’ folder.

Step 2: Modify Text

In the project panel, locate the folder called ‘Modify Text’. Inside this folder are multiple
compositions. Each composition represents a title in the animation.

To customize , open each composition. Inside you’ll find two text layers. Double click each text
layer to customize. You can also change formatting options like font, tracking, scale, and
position. Repeat this process with every layer in every comp in the Modify Text folder.

Step 3: Scene Options

In the project panel, locate the folder called ‘Scene Options’. Inside this folder is a composition
also called 'Scene Options'. Double click to open. In this composition, you'll find a green
adjustment layer. Highlight the adjustment layer and navigate to the effects control panel. Here
you'll find several effects you can manipulate to further customize the look of your project.

How to Change Colors

You’ll find multiple color controls in this project which can control things like titles, borders, and
more. To change a particular color, select the swatch below the ‘reset’ button. A window called
'Color' will pop up where you can select a desired color. After selecting a color and clicking OK,
all of the titles in your scene will be updated to the new color.

Note: one of the color controls included changes the fill over your logo. If you’d prefer to not
have a simple color fill over your logo, uncheck the ‘Enable Logo Color Fill’ checkbox control.

Effect intensity with Slider Control

Several slider controls are included to change the intensity of effects like Snow particles,
Image/Video Tint, and noise.

To change the value

, click and drag the ticker left or right, similar to a volume control. To make
the element completely invisible, drag the ticker to the left until the value is 0.00.

Note: Image/Video Tint Amount slider changes the intensity of the tint placed over your slides.
To specify what color to use for this tint, use the color control directly above called
‘Image/Video Tint Color’. To disable the tint completely, drag the ticker to the left until the value
is 0.00.

What Are Image/Video Guides?

When checked, overlays will appear on each image/video slide in your scene to indicate which
slide is being used where. This will allow you to easily locate and swap photos in your scene.
When you’re finished revising your slides, simply uncheck the effect before rendering.

Disabling Light Leaks

To disable light leaks, use the designated checkbox control in the same way as Image/Video
Guides. Simply uncheck the box to disable.

Step 4: Export Zone

In the project panel, locate the folder called ‘Export Zone’. Inside this folder are two exportable
comps. The long version uses all 14 slides and titles and closes with your logo. The short version
uses the first 7 slides and titles and closes with your logo.

Highlight the composition you’d like to render and navigate to
Composition>Add to Render
Queue in your menu bar.

Here, you can select your preferred settings via ‘Output Module’ and choose where your video
will be saved via ‘Output To’ setting. Once you’ve selected your settings, click ‘Render’ on the
right side of the panel.
