Linuxmint 19 is one of the best and easy distributions for users. Linux mint 19 is a long
term support release which will be supported until 2023. It comes with updated software and
brings refinements and many few new feature to make your desktop even more comfortable
to use. The most popular version of linux mint is the cinnamon edition. Cinnamon is primarily
developed by linux mint. It is silk, beautiful and full of new features.
System requirements:
 1GB RAM(2GB recommended for a comfortable usage)
 15GB of disk space (20GB recommended).
 1024*768 resolution (on lower resolution press ALT to drag window with the mouse if
they don’t fit in the screen.
How to install :
 Double click install linux mint .
 Select your language.
 Connect to the internet, tick the box to install the multimedia codes.
 If another operating system is present on the computer the shows you an option to
install linux mint alongside it. If you choose this option the installer automatically
resize your existing operating system makes room and install linux mint beside it.
 Select your time zone.
 Select your keyboard layout.
 Enter your user detail.
 Enjoy the slide show while linux mint installed on your computer.
 When the installation is finished click to restart your computer.

 Update your system(sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade –y)

Keyboard shortcuts:
 Enter: run the command
 Ctrl+z: stop the current command
 Ctrl+a: return to the start of the command you are typing

 Is: directory listing
 Is-i: list file in current directory using long formate
 Is-f: list files in current directory and indicates the file type

 Touch file: create or update file
 Cd: change directory
 Mv: allow user to move a file to another file
 Mkdir: allow the user to make new directory
 Rmdir: remove directory
 Poweroff: shutdown the window
 Sudo su: To open the root terminal
