1 – Sophos VPN client installation

Please, note that you must use a VPN connection in order to be inside Cloud AWS (Amazon
Web Services) network.

Remark:

You need install Sophos software provided by us, even if you have already installed the
software before.

The software is associated to a user account. You only must take into account the installation
directory for the new software (can’t be the same).

In this way, you can connect with the both users into the same SOPHOS client (right click on
the icon and select the user you need)

Once you have downloaded the software from https://software.accenture.com

Go to your Downloads directory (Usually on C:\Users\<your user>\Downloads

Right click over the installer  Run as Administrator


Install the client.
Next->Accept License terms
Find Traffic light at the right of tour task bar:

Right click-> Connect

User: Training

Password: Training

You’re green, you’re in!


2 – Common issues

If you can’t connect correctly through SOPHOS VPN and you receive a screen similar to any of
the following ones:

Please follow these steps:

1.- Open the task manager

2.- In the “processes” tab search for openvpn* processes and SSL VPN processes

3.- End all process starting with openvpn* and SSL VPN

4.- In the “services” tab, click button services, stop “Pulse Secure” and restart “WLAN
AutoConfig” and “WWAN AutoConfig”

Note: Only if you connect to Wi-Fi through Pulse Secure, follow steps 5 and 6

5. – Once you are connected, disable all proxys.

6. – Go to Windows Services and search for “Pulse Secure Network Service”. Then stop it.

7.- Check if you have the following connection enabled

Go to: Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter settings

You must have a similar connection like this (TAP-Window Adapter V9)

 If the connection is disabled, enable it (Right click -> Enable)


 If the connection is enabled, disable it and afterwards enable it again (Right click ->
Disable / Enable)

8. – Connect to Sophos VPN using “Training” credentials with “Run as Administrator” option.

Attaching the SOPHOS log

SOPHOS Icon on bottom right side -> Right click ->view log.

Save the file with txt extension and with the proposed name.
