First Trimester: AY 2019-2020
LEARNING FACILITATOR
PERFORMANCE- BASED ASSESSMENT:
“GO BAG: GRAB AND GO”
When there is an impending danger, we need to leave our homes and evacuate to safer areas.
To prepare for these emergencies, we should have a ready GO BAG that we can bring along
immediately. A go bag, otherwise known as a bug out bag or 72 hour bag, is important to have on
hand when disaster strikes. When something bad happens, time is of the essence and mere seconds
can mean the difference between life and death.
a. Learners prepare and apply what they’ve learned on Disaster Readiness and Risk
Reduction.
b. Learners explain the importance of being prepared.
c. Learners are able to develop a community disaster preparedness plan to minimize
vulnerability and disaster risk in the community and avoid or limit adverse impacts of
hazards.
You are a member of an emergency response team. One main requirement for this job is to
possess a Go Bag which will be used during emergency situations.
AUDIENCE:
Your learning facilitator will act as the head of the emergency response team and shall do
the duty of checking the completeness of the contents of the Go Bag.
SITUATION:
As your final class output for the learning area, Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction, you
are expected to possess a Go Bag to exemplify the essence of being prepared to fulfil requirements
for the learning area. Each learner will be given 5 minutes to present their Go Bags on October 17,
2019.
