This thesis abstract summarizes a study on reported cybercrime cases in Marinduque Province in the Philippines. The study analyzed problems encountered by municipal police stations in handling cybercrime cases. A survey was administered to respondents to gather data on these problems. The study found that police stations mostly encounter issues with implementing cybercrime law and engaging stakeholders. An action plan was formulated by law enforcement to address these challenges through inter-agency cooperation. The goal is to improve cybercrime investigation, raise public awareness, and better equip police to handle technology-related crimes.

The significant contribution of this study to the law enforcement
administration is the improvement of their coordination and sharing of expertise in handling and investigating technology crime. They will have a highly trained specialist, requiring detective and technical skills, including knowledge of various IT hardware and software, and forensic tools. And to diff. sectors that would be potential victims of cybercrime, they will have a full awareness on how to avoid the cybercrime in their daily transactions, using internet connection, business online, purchasing an items, dealing with people online and the amount of personal information they post online were limit and they will learn to use privacy settings to avoid sharing information widely and being always cautious about what they receive or read, share and post online. The study generally analyzed the problems encountered by the different municipal police stations in the province of Marinduque on the reported cybercrime cases and make interventions as basis for action plan. The collection of data was done through administration of validated survey questionnaire to the selected respondents. The data gathered from their responses were statistically interpreted. The study found out that the different municipal police stations in the province of Marinduque encounter serious problem when receiving a complaint against the reported cybercrime cases. Further, it was also found out that Lyceum of the Philippines University Graduate School iii
Mogpog Police Station mostly encounter problems on the Implementation of
Cybercrime and Legal together with the Sta. Cruz Police Station which is in the Stakeholders/ Community. Lastly, the action plan formulated by the law enforcement agency in the province is much more needed and successfully to accomplish through the cooperation of responsible agencies.
