Contingency action plan for bussiness continuity in case of natural calamity, labour unrest, transporters strike etc.

SL NO CONTINGENCIES ACTION PLAN


1 Power interruptions * Run services on standby sources of power supply viz. Diesel generarator
* Use of similar assembly line for production at different location away from plant
2 Major Interruptions, e.g. fire
* Spare Tooling / Dies, Machines are kept at different location away from plant
* Multi skillness chart is available for proper availability of manpwer in case of shortage / absentism
3 Labour shortages (Skilled / Un skilled)
* Availabity of manpower from service centre,
* Match factory timings with the gaps available
* Address of all employees available with HR dept
4 Partial Curfew
* Proper transport facilities during such contingencies e.g - Vehicles owned by company employees
* Facility provided to stay during such emergencies
* Facilities available to provide with the job work from out source agencies
5 Key equipment failure * Alternate equipments can be made available for production purpose from service center when required
* Spares equipments are kept at different location in the plant
6 Field returns * Inventory of raw materials & advancement of finished goods are kept at Sharma Enterprises end
* Discuss or communicate with customer / marketing & ensure delivery before strike
7 Transporters strike
* Explore other means of transport where ever feasible
* Explore the possibility of material via Air lift / Train / self arrangement
8 Criticality of producion material * Maintain min. inventory level according to the customer schedule & component manufacturing lead time
* Explore alternate source of supply
9 Disaster * In Case of disaster we have another units ………
