Organic Architecture
Organic Architecture
Nature is the achievement of the best architect, the god, and has often been the best source of
inspiration for architects, the concept of nature has always been a vehicle for interpreting art and
architecture, and a different approach for designers and architects to create a suitable architectural
concept and space. The use of natural forms in architecture signifies the human tendency to the effects
of creation and its effects. Importance and attention to organic architecture is that this style is in fact an
attempt at both phonetics and nature by enhancing efficiency, optimizing consumption of materials and
energy. In this study how nature influences the architectural design space It is thought that in the
organic and biomorphic architecture of nature is of great importance and importance in design. In this
project we discuss organic and biomorphic architecture, all of which aim to incorporate a concept in
different vocabulary and pursue a theme inspired by natural forms and use in the architectural space.
Organic architecture is looking for a way to minimize the negative impacts on the environment and
respect for nature, and using this particular approach in the field of sustainable development seems
necessary for this group of architects and designers, and this research focuses on design. Architecture
with a biomorphic approach is in line with the main goal. In order to further analyze and investigate the
subject, the research method in this study is based on analytical-descriptive and logical reasoning.
According to the findings, it seems that organic and biomorphic architecture are all inspired by nature at
a romantic and Industrial design techniques represent an attempt to harmonize with that part of the
meaning of nature.
The relationship between man and nature has varied based on the extent to which man has come to
understand nature and his quest to understand and look at it. In fact, human civilization has begun with
human efforts to understand nature.
Architectural space is shaped by some kind of simple or complex geometry, much simpler than the
natural environment, and man has historically exercised his dominance over nature by geometrically
defining it, geometry being essentially a unifying element except and It is whole, and it introduces man
to the logic of creation and astronomy and nature and the sky.
Organic meaning:
Organ means a living organism capable of growth. The root of the word organically to organically means
organically, organically, organically (organically), and in the sense of Wright organic means integrating
the whole set. Organic is a common term in architecture derived from the biological sciences, making it
easy to discuss form, form, relation, study, and even comparison with living things.
Romanticism was a philosophical, artistic, and literary movement in the late 6th century against the
rationalism of modern reason. European and American romantic ideas and their views on the
intellectual nature of organic architecture form. The organic trait was first described by Wright and his
teacher Sullivan on architecture, Sullivan explained it in a kindergarten chat book.
Organic architecture
Perhaps the strongest and oldest construction is caves in early humans’ architecture. Ancient Greeks
also respectfully perceived nature. The Delphi Temple is the best example of ancient Greek urban design
recognized as the "Athenian" and is a man-made structural system based on topography, contour lines
and animal footprints that align with the rules of nature.
Leonardo da Vinci believed in nature. He wrote, "Painting is the offspring of nature," And by aristocracy
in the primordial eternal of nature, he went so far as to believe that "painting persists because it derives
directly from nature, while music dies immediately after performance."
This belief shows his fanatical respect and dedication to nature. In his opinion, art must be compatible
with nature. His definition of nature was "innovation while maintaining loyalty" to nature.
According to Michelangelo, the form that the artist depicts to the material is not only in his mind but
also should be the in material quiddity itself. he was always in a metaphysical struggle with the form and
the secrets of nature, and this is a revelatory process which the artist discovers a form of mass that
already was in his mind as well as in the material.
Perhaps this is what Frank Lloyd Wright always mentioned in discussion of materials. Although Wright
loves nature, he may never have achieved the extraordinary nature of materials like Michelangelo.
what we do need to learn about nature, is the secrets of nature, the different aspects of combining
nature with the site, building construction on it, orientation, thermal and climatic effects, and
sometimes even the various aspects of the form of construction.
Creating a different human experience with Nature through Architecture and Design :
Relationship between Human and Nature in Architecture Observes the design of architecture in
interaction with nature. Nature mean convenience. We may assume that we have an interplay between
architecture and nature as we design the building behaves in a way that is natural and relaxing.
The connection between a building and nature creates a variety of effects. In general, the use of nature
in a building's architecture makes it special. Inspiring nature to enhance this fascinating harmony is one
of the most profound concepts an architect can understand and use in his projects.
One of the most different aspects of natural use in architecture is to introduce nature to create a
different experience for its residents as an active and effective factor for this sector.
Among the most remarkable moments in architecture occurs when the form of a structure can create a
whole new sense in its inhabitants. imagine that wind blowing as a natural factor, displaces part of the
building and redefines its shape or form.
With the foreground that this natural factor can keep residents from getting bored or giving them a new
look.
The form is created through interaction with nature, a living being that depends on its ability to respond
to the environment for survival. A key factor in defining and developing is how relationships ensure
survival. In our world every new idea is background of discovery of a number of hidden things of nature,
which are exposed surprisingly through observing and reflection of nature.
The use of nature can be motivating and harmonious not only in design, but can also create different
variations. As an architect we have to think about various factors, when designing to alter or relate to
the materials of the buildings.
It greatly contributes to your model, profound concept quality, and beauty. These three questions will
enable you to achieve it:
1. Which natural component (wind, rain, temperature, light, etc.) makes my project perform
better, more elegant?
2. How this natural factor creates a whole new experience for residents?
3. What does this new relationship and experience guide residents about their surroundings,
themselves and other residents?
Organic architecture has unique and important features depending on the categories to be presented:
2. A building from its site should seem to grow indigenous and the structure must look as if
it were built by nature itself.
Building and Site: in organic architecture, these two have a very specific relationship. The site
must be improved by the building and the building partially derives from the nature of the site.
Often this happens in contrast, sometimes by similarities. The building grows out of the
landscape as any other plant; its connection to the site is so unique that it is not available
elsewhere.
Material: These are essentially used so that their inherent character is improved and their
individual color, texture and strength refined. There is no other material covered up in one.
Shelter: One of the most important principles of organic architecture is that buildings are
required to protect the security and privacy of their residents.
The color of the fields and the woods should inspire the building's main coloring to manifest
natural aesthetics.
Proportion and Scale: A building and its furnishings should be measured by the human body. Wright
spoke of' the fundamental harmony of the human figure in order to make the relationship with human
and architecture not only pleasant, but also charming.
Ornament Not all organic architecture has ornament, but when used, it is developed as an
integral part of the material, not applied. Examples are patterns cast in concrete or carved in
stone, leaded glass panels, and tile or glass mosaics.
Doors, windows and furniture should combine with the structure's ornamentation.
Simplicity and composure are important qualities for architectural quality evaluation. Therefore,
the design of the structure needs to be simplified, limiting the number of separate rooms by
replenishing them as open spaces.
Another important principle of organic architecture is the inspiration of the natural environment
in the choosing of colors, materials and textures. This style of architecture should be avoiding
any copy.
architecture in harmony with nature
While structures were designed and built to protect us against natural disasters, as previously
mentioned, creativity may achieve a good harmony between architecture and nature. Harmony which
provides the desired effects in an artificial environment to enhance the relationship between man and
nature.
Taking that into consideration, it can become an inspiring and efficient resource to
change details and generalizations and to further integrate the building with the natural
elements in your project.
Understand the general major climate region: Identifying regional weather model helps
you create a responsive design with this important factor in mind. Just imagine that your
building can exhibit a different appearance depending on the external climate factors
(such as sun, wind, rain, etc.)
Improve the relationship between residents and nature: when designing spaces , paying
attention to important nature indications has a significant impact on the final outcome
for residents.
Understanding The Nature of Resident Participation will help you think more critically
and efficiently. For example, one person may like the rain while the other likes the
sunny weather. By identifying these interests, you can recognize how your building can
satisfy end-dwellers.
Use materials to exploit the natural aspect: by identifying the materials that can be
caused by a building you can expose what you intend to attract more. Ask yourself what
materials are best for and how you can integrate them and influence residents of your
community.
Add some natural elements to building spaces: when designing your workplace or
building, consider which elements can be applied to each section. For example, a stone
sculpture that residents can touch, or an indoor greenhouse that creates a sense of
nature inside the building. The interior and exterior of the building can both have profit
from these not-so-great elements. And if these elements are selected effectively they
do their job well.
Immerse residents in a natural environment: at least in some areas, your design can be
to integrate with nature and invite residents on short and enjoyable trips. In each
project, you may give a sense of belonging to people or visitors in particular sections
and forms. This is one of the special effects of harmony between architecture and
nature.
keep nature more brilliance at the entrance and exit of residents or visitors: Consider
which features would better represent nature on the entry and exit and make people
feel better and more special. Imagine that visitors were guided by entries and exits and
how could they help the audience with their experience and what image they could
build in their thoughts?
Creating a transient interaction with nature: Your building can also have some
interactions in transit, for example, as the sun passes through the sky, the wind blows,
or the temperature drops, different effects may occur inside and outside the building.
As an architect, ask yourself how my building could adjust to these natural factors and
give residents a whole new experience.
Human beings have seen nature as a vital resource and mysterious throughout their lives on earth. And
they always have sought to discover their full significant, including nature's expression in art.
For example, the first figurative artwork in caves. The ancient philosopher, Aristotle was one of the first
to be mentioned nature as an inspiration. architects used natural patterns throughout various ways in
process of organic architectural design. Proper use and election of natural and indigenous materials will
lead to the creation of different architectures with the concept of naturalism.
what makes organic design different from bionic design is in the way they are designed, In the bionic the
designer considerate more on the foundation of getting inspired form the nature rather than colors, like
getting inspiration form the spiders web for designing a sturdy web.
