Completing the FAFSA

Tuesday, November 19th

6:00 pm-8:00 pm
Function Co-Working Community
4709 Harford Road, Baltimore 21214

The goal of this session is for each of you to complete your Financial Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). In preparation, please complete the following:

I. Students must apply for your FAFSA ID online prior to November 19th so you can
electronically sign the FAFSA form. The FSA ID allows students and parents to identify
themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites.

To create an FSA ID:

Go to the FSA website https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
If you don’t already have an FSA ID, you can create an FSA ID.
If you have an FSA ID but don’t remember your username, select “Forgot Username.”
If you have an FSA ID but don’t remember your password, select “Forgot Password.”

Parents: If you previously created an FSA ID when you were a student, you don’t need to
create another one. You can only have one FSA ID linked to your Social Security number.

II. Please bring the following information with you:

● Your FAFSA ID
● Student and parent social security numbers
● Alien Registration number (if you aren’t a U.S. citizen)
● 2018 federal income tax returns, 2018 W-2s, and other records of money earned in
2018 (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your
FAFSA form using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
● Bank statements and records of investments (most recent copies if applicable)
● Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

All of this will take some time to collect so please start early. If you have any questions reach out to
Anne DeMuth, Financial Aid Advisor at Sisters Circle, at [email protected] or 410-615-9128.
