DO AFTER INSTALL UBUNTU

1. Update Repository to Local Repository

2. Update & Upgrade

apt update && apt upgrade

3. Install net-tools

apt install net-tools

4. Edit terminal layout (DotFiles)

\d : the date in "Weekday Month Date" format ("Tue May 26")

The braces are required


\e : an ASCII escape character (033)
\h : the hostname up to the first '.'
\H : the hostname
\j : the number of jobs currently managed by the shell
\l : the basename of the shell’s terminal device name
\n : newline
\r : carriage return
\s : the name of the shell, the basename of $0 (the portion

following the final slash)


\t : the current time in 24-hour HH:MM:SS format
\T : the current time in 12-hour HH:MM:SS format
\@ : the current time in 12-hour am/pm format
\A : the current time in 24-hour HH:MM format
\u : the username of the current user
\v : the version of bash (e.g., 2.00)
\V : the release of bash, version + patch level (e.g., 2.00.0)
\w : the current working directory, with $HOME abbreviated with a tilde
\W : the basename of the current working directory, with $HOME
abbreviated with a tilde
\! : the history number of this command
\# : the command number of this command
\$ : if the effective UID is 0, a #, otherwise a $

7. Install Theme, Cursor, Icon & Wallpaper

 Themes Application : Vimix-laptop-beryl

 Cursor : Paper-Vimix

 Icons : Paper-Vimi

 Shell : Transparent Shell Themes

 Background : Canta_Wallpaper

8. Install ExFat to mount drive with exfat file system

$ sudo apt install exfat-fuse exfat-utils

9. If dual boot, mount NTFS file system

$ sudo fdisk -l

$ sudo ntfsfix /dev/sda3 or sda4 or sda5

10. Terminal without password

Backup your /etc/sudoers file by typing the following command:

$ sudo cp /etc/sudoers /root/sudoers.copy

Edit the /etc/sudoers file by typing the visudo command:

$ sudo visudo or nano /etc/sudoers

insert line :

username ALL = NOPASSWD

Save and exit the file.


11. Uninstall LibreOffice on Ubuntu 18.04 / Ubuntu 19.04

Uninstall LibreOffice on Ubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 by running commands below in
your terminal.

$sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice*

This will remove LibreOffice and its dependencies. Next is to clear out the local
repository of LibreOffice packages.

$sudo apt clean

Clear all LibreOffice dependencies that are orphaned – no longer required.

$sudo apt-get autoremove
