1.0 SCOPE OF WORK:
This Method Statement covers the process of Installation of SNAP Standard Partition Wall
System for Olympic Committee Apartments.

Work shall consider health and safety, and include working area preparation, precautionary
measures application, finishing, cleaning, and inspection & testing.

2.0 Purpose:
Purpose of this Method Statement is to describe and cover measures and ways of
Installation of SNAP Standard Partition Wall System

3.0 DEFINITION:
 MS - Method Statement
 ADPI - The Engineer/Consultant
 BLUU – BLUU Qatar
 ITP - Inspection and Test Plan
 PPE - Personal Protective Equipment.

4.0 RESPONSIBLITIES:
4.1 Project Manager
Over all responsible for implementation of approved method statement, specifications,
drawings and other contract specified requirements

4.2 QA/QC Manger


Improving quality assurance processes and practices. And investigating incidences of staff
non-compliance of procedures and deal with technical issues arises.

4.3 QA/QC Engineer


Carry out inspect Installation activities. And ensuring ITP is implemented with respect to all
matters related to inspection and testing.

4.4 HSE Officer


To make sure all activities related to the execution of the project are carried out on safe
condition. And overall responsible for implementing project specific HSE Plan, and
applicable HSE National and International requirements.

4.5 Site Engineer
Responsible to carry out work as per approved method statement, specifications, drawings
and other contract specified requirements, with coordination with QA/QC Engineer,
Subcontractor and other operatives. In charge of site planning and preparation for specific
work.
4.6 Foreman
Distribute and supervise workforce for construction activities. And prepare all required
machines or tools for the site works.

7.0 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT:


The Health & Safety and Environment Project Management Plan institutes the overall
mechanism for the risk management processes with regard to the Project.
7.1 Risk Assessment
7.1.1 All personnel involved in the above activities shall follow the
requirements.
7.1.2 All operatives shall be trained and fully conversant with the Method
statement and Risk assessment.
7.1.3 All safety measures and Contractor safety procedures shall be
implemented.
7.1.4 Safety toolbox for each new activity and pre-task briefing to be carried
out.
7.1.5 Regular inspections by safety supervisors on the jobsite.
7.1.6 Risk assessment communication form shall be available on site.
7.1.7 All personnel should be trained in work at height.
7.1.8 All personnel should wear approved mask, Hand gloves, Safety Glass and
cover all during installation works.
7.2 Protective & Safety Equipment
All workers will be wearing the required safety gear:
7.2.1 Hard Hats
7.2.2 Safety Shoes
7.2.3 Safety Gloves
7.2.4 Safety Glasses
7.2.5 Mask
7.2.6 PPE

7.3 General Work Instructions
7.3.1 Starting instructions will be given by the supervisors at the start of each
activity to explain the methodology of works and to communicate safe
working procedures to the operatives. These talks are structured in a
way to highlight to major risks involved in the activity and the various
control measures required in order to minimize the risk.
7.4 Environmental Issues
7.4.1 An environmental aspect can be defined as an element of an
organizations activities, products and/or services that can interact with
the environmental
7.4.2 All chemical wastes shall be disposed as per MSDS and legal
requirement.

8.0 WORK METHODOLOGY:


8.1 Production
8.1.1 All the floor, Wall, existing curtain wall should be well protected around the working
area by other contractor.
8.1.2 Hot work permit will be prepared and approved from the Client and the Landlord prior
the hot work on site.
8.1.3 The hot work area will be protected by Fire Rated gypsum board in the floor and wall.
8.1.4 Extinguisher and Fire blanket will be near of the hot work area.
8.1.5 Barricade and signs will be all around the hot work area.
8.2 Marking
8.2.1 Leaser level machine will be used to adjust the line of glass in the existing gypsum.
8.2.2 Site marking as per the approved shop drawings.
8.2.3 Barricade the work area.
8.3 Aluminum Installation
8.3.1 Arrange the accessories and profiles based on location.
8.3.2 Cutting profiles as per the site and approved drawing.
8.3.3 Install isolation types for ceiling, and wall profiles.
8.3.4 Install joint type to floor profiles.
8.3.5 Prepare and fix the accessories in profiles.
8.3.6 Prepare and cutting the vertical profiles with actual size, and install accessories to hang
the wooden panels in wright place and adjustments.
8.3.7 Floor aluminum will be laid as per site marking by special joint type in the existing floor.
8.3.8 Ceiling aluminum will be installed with the same level of the floor one (by leaser
machine) by screw in the existing bulkheads ceiling.

8.3.9 Vertical side aluminum will be installed between the ceiling and the floor aluminum
(leaser machine will be used to make sure the vertical level is adjusted) by screw in the
existing walls.
8.3.10 Prepare the door frames and adjusted to be in right position by using Leaser level
machine then fix it to profiles.
8.4 Wooden Panels Installation
8.4.1 Arrange the wooden panels as per the approved modulation layouts for each wall.
8.4.2 Before Installing clips to wooden panels, check the arc accessory in vertical profiles
then install the clips according to them.
8.4.3 Fixed the first phase of wooden panels using rapper hammer, to attach the clips to arc
accessory.
8.4.4 Install rock wool as heat, and sound, isolation.
8.4.5 Fixed the second phase of wooden panels using rubber hammer, to attach the clips to
arc accessory.
8.4.6 Install the joint 6 mm thickness rubber between each two wooden panels.

8.5 Door Installation


8.5.1 Arrange the doors leaf as per the approved modulation layouts.
8.5.2 Prepare and fix doors accessors set (hinges, iron mongery lock, handle cylinder).
8.5.3 Fixed the doors leaf to door frames.
8.5.4 Balance the doors leaf to be in right position
8.6 General Cleaning and Protection.
8.6.1 Cleaning will be done after the whole installation.
8.6.2 Check all system after installation, before project handing over
