Math Is A Language

1) Mathematics is an important language that is used in many fields and has contributed greatly to inventions and technology. It opens doors to careers and opportunities for students, citizens, and nations. 2) Mathematical problems can motivate and engage students by relating to their interests, and help develop understanding. However, students must see how math applies to their lives and careers. 3) While math does not have a single formal definition, it is connected to many aspects of life and is the objective language that humans can understand. It is present everywhere in modern life and technology.

Why is Math important?

Its knowledge is transferable in many situations that has a big contribution to

great inventions in the world, with all the experts in all those fields having a math skills. Mathematics is
also the key to opportunity. For students, it opens door for careers. For citizens, it enables informed
decisions. For Nations, it provides knowledge to compete in a technological community. To participate
fully in the world of the future.

Mathematics can be powerful sites for the development of mathematical understanding. Mathematical
problems can serve as a source of motivation for the students if the problem is engage students
interests and aspirations. Mathematical problems also can serve as sources of meaning and
understanding of the problems stimulates student's thinking. It is true that a mathematical task that is
meaningful to a student will provide more motivation than a task that does not make sense. Both
meaning and motivation are required. The motivational benefits that can be provided by workplace and
everyday problems are worth mentioning, for some, they are aware that mathematics courses are
necessary in order to gain entry into particular career paths, many students are unaware of how
particular topics or problem solving approaches will have relevance in any workplace.

We should know that mathematics do not have formal definition. The main reason to this is that when
concept or things become more connected in our life, it becomes easier for us, as humans, to define
mathematics, mathematics are connected to all other aspects of our existence more than we could ever
imagine. MATH IS EVERYWHERE, mathematics is the sole objective language that human could
understand. If we don’t see it somewhere, it is just a lack of The higher mathematical knowledge.

In this Generation, they have different ideas and perspective In Mathematics as a language. We all know
that Mathematics is all over the word. Math can act in a different language. How can you can solve a
Mathematics problem without using the mathematics language? See? Different countries, different
cultures, life and perspective were using mathematics as a language. Galileo Galilie once said
“Mathematics is the language in which God created the world” which says that we cannot know
everything about it until we learn it’s process and doing it so. It may be written through words or it may
be drawn but there is one thing that you may use for you to analyze and answer it by using the language
of a mathematics.

(There are multiple definitions of "language." A language may be a system of words or codes used
within a discipline. Language may refer to a system of communication using symbols or
sounds. Linguist Noam Chomsky defined language as a set of sentences constructed using a finite set of
elements. Some linguists believe language should be able to represent events and abstract concepts.

Not everyone agrees that mathematics is a language. Some definitions of "language" describe it as a
spoken form of communication. Mathematics is a written form of communication. However, sign
language would also be disqualified based on this criterion. Most linguists accept sign language as a true
language. There are a handful of dead languages that no one alive knows how to pronounce or even
read anymore.

Whichever definition is used, a language contains the following components:

There must be a vocabulary of words or symbol, Meaning ,syntax , narrative. There must be (or have
been) a group of people who use and understand the symbols.

Mathematics meets all of these requirements. The symbols, their meanings, syntax, and grammar are
the same throughout the world. Mathematicians, scientists, and others use math to communicate
concepts. Mathematics describes itself (a field called meta-mathematics) (Anne Marie Helmenstine,
Ph.D., 2019)

Math is a language, language is also means to communicate which mathematics is also used for
communication. Communication to understand a mathematics problem. Basically, Math is also an
element of communication and a made of communication but it is not. Hard to understand isn’t ? That’s
how Math works. If you don’t try to learn and work for you to learn, you'll never know the language of
mathematics. Basically, you will never agree that math is a language because you never learn the
language of Mathematics. It is also not only the type of language, but it is surely a language. A kind of
language that has its own meaning. It is a language in a broad sense. As Allan Taylor said, it’s more
compose of codes, you use to communicate about some very restricted topics. Language help us to
name the physical world and to communicate our needs and desires, same as for mathematics, a way
that we have to organize our abstract thinking. Mathematics is a language which both humans and
computers can understand. It helps us to transfer our intelligence to a computer, which can carry it
further. Humans are trying to express each and every process of their brain in Mathematical equations.
But still, humanity is not able to express their emotions in mathematics.

Children with learning disabilities uses math as a language. Treat their difficulty as a manifestation of a
language based learning disability. Students may have poor reading skills or expressing themselves. These
language give them privilege to learn and to develop their mathematical abilities. If these student are
only given text discussion their knowledge will be limited by the teaching style. Students need to
correctly read, write, and talk about mathematical concepts. Allowing students to participate in
mathematical discussions and conversations in the classrooms can help students make sense of the
mathematics they are learning. Teaching mathematical language gives students tools to enhance and
articulate their thinking and explain their answers

You cannot use Math using by Math only, to help you understand and appreciate the power of modern
mathematical language, I gathered some example of a mathematical problem.

If a straight line be cut at random, the square on the whole is equal to the squares (a + b)2 =
on the segments and twice the rectangle contained by the segments. a2 + b2 +

The language of mathematics cannot stand alone with its formula only. It will be consist of had an
explanation. You will never understand neither read a mathematics problem with a formula only you
will be needing a basis, a language of mathematics that will explain what is missing or the problem of a
question. Given this example, the number 0. Students always having a second thought about the
number 0 if it is letter O, this was just an example that math has its own language. It would not try to
understand and learn the mathematics language you will never understand Mathematics as its
language. As a matter of fact, mathematical language is by far more accurate than any other one
may think of. Do not forget also that every science and a human activity field has its own lingo and a
word usage in many instances much different from that one may be more comfortable with.

Is Math is a language? Yes, As you can see everything has its own language, Romance is a
language, sex is a language, talking is a language and you can also known a language by
communication. Hard to understand isn't? It will always be a number of persons who can understand
a language is always limited. People think of number and operations as a math but only few can
understand a mathematics problem as its language. But math not only revolve into that,
Mathematics is very far from what we think it is. In computers, laptops, cellphones, financial
resources, science, scientific problems, scientist, all of those were using math. Enclosed with that, it
has different language that only have a knowledge of using it or doing it can understand. You can’t
translate codes with using language, similar to that you can’t read math problems without translating
its marks into letters into words into ideas into understanding and into analysis, that involves math.
And math with its language. Once a person has been put off math as a child, it takes more than telling
them that math can be fun and beautiful to engage them. A good alternative message is that
mathematics is useful and practical, that we need mathematics for our jobs, and to do our budgeting
and to measure our house for paint quantities. This practical view is provided as the balancing view to
the beautiful mathematics message. Indeed, for some people, the message of usefulness works, but for
others seems boring. For some people mathematics is beautiful, joyful and playful. For some people
mathematics is useful and practical.

Mathematics plays a big role in the world. Without math we cannot do our daily schedules, we will
never aware of the time, set an alarm to wake us up everyday. We will never have the knowledge to
count. The perfect curves for our drawings, measuring our heights, the width of a house. The size of
everything.
