I.Title
The Influence of the Establishment of the Japanese Garden to the Traits of the
People of Cavinti.
Thesis Statement
The Filipino’s have learned the culture of forgiveness to those who commit mistakes
to their Motherland. The monument served as representation of how greed and
power can change the history.
Significance of the Study
Conducting this research will determine how the traits and personalities of people of
Cavinti change in the establishment of Japanese Garden.
Introduction
Japanese Garden along lake Caliraya in Laguna is a memorial park built by the
Japanese government in the 1970s in order to reminisce the Japanese soldiers who
died during the World War II.

After it happened, the Japanese and the Filipino had an agreement for the
establishment of Japanese Garden in Cavinti, Laguna. A big change happened.
The way the people live are not the same as they live at the beginning.

However, the true effect of this is the influence of the Japanese Garden itself to the
traits of the people of Cavinti after it was built on their place. People there are
forgiving and kind. This research is conducted for the people to know the real reason
why Japanese Garden was built and to uncover its hidden stories.

With the purpose of examining the existing awareness and significance of
cultural heritage sites in particular of the Japanese Garden of Caliraya Laguna.
We therefore conclude that Japanese Garden signifies a change in the people’s
personality and traits specifically their ability to accept the past regardless of
what happened during the World War II era.
