FEATURES
Chevron Open Gear Lubricants are black, viscous
lubricants formulated with an asphaltic base and
diluted with a non-chlorinated solvent for easy
application by hand or through automatic lubrication
systems.
They provide a high film strength coating on gear teeth
to minimize wear.
Chevron Open Gear Lubricants are designed to provide
tacky, tenacious lubricant films on open gears
operating under severe shock load conditions.
Chevron Open Gear Lubricants contain a non-
chlorinated diluent that eases the application of these
lubricants onto the gears. The diluent then evaporates,
leaving a tacky lubricant film on the gear teeth.
They can also be used to lubricate chains, sprockets,
wire rope, and cables. When used as a cable coating,
