Smart Parking System: (Shivaba R. Mahalle, Manthan M. Naik, Piyush V. Pawar)

This document describes a smart parking system project that uses infrared (IR) sensors to detect empty parking slots. The IR sensor data is sent to a mobile application via a NodeMCU microcontroller and cloud server to allow users to check availability and book slots in advance. The system aims to help users find parking more efficiently by monitoring slot occupancy in real-time and providing advance booking. When a slot is empty, a green light will be illuminated. If a slot is occupied, a red light will be shown. A yellow light indicates a booked slot. The software includes an Android app, Arduino IDE, Firebase server, and MIT App Inventor. Hardware consists of IR sensors, NodeMCU, and Arduino.

Image IR sensors are used to locate vehicle present in

etc . respective parking slot or to know whether parking slot is

empty of full. Status of parking lot is as follows:

Proposed Block Diagram
1) If parking lot is empty i.e. IR sensor doesn’t

detect any vehicle then green signal will be

enlightened as shown in figure below. Green box

is enlightened means all slots are empty.

2) If parking lot is occupied i.e. IR sensor detects

any vehicle then Red signal will be enlightened.

3) If parking lot is booked then yellow signal will

be enlightened. Figure below doesn’t shows

enlightened yellow box that means none of the

Applications: parking slot is booked.
