INTERVENTIONS IMPLEMENTED BY SCHOOL HEADS IN SELECTED
SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN LEYTE DIVISION. A Doctorate Dissertation.

This is a descriptive survey which generally aimed to evaluate the

Organizational Development Interventions Implemented by School Heads among

Selected Secondary Schools in Leyte Division

The respondents of this study were the School heads and teachers among

selected secondary schools in Leyte Division.

The instrument used was the survey questionnaire and the data were

analyzed with the aid of appropriate statistical tools such as frequency count

Mean, Percentage, Spearman’s rho was employed to determine the significant

relationship among the variables.

The results of the study on the profile of the respondents revealed the

most of the school heads were of age 50-59, with 6 to 10 years of experience as

school heads, majority are females and are married. Majority has enrolled in post

graduate studies and has attended related trainings in division and regional level.

As regards to the School and School Head performance, school has an

average performance for the past three (3) based on the National Achievement

test (NAT) and school heads has a very satisfactory performance.

The Organizational Development Interventions implemented by school

heads are person Oriented Intervention, Content Oriented Intervention and

Process Oriented Interventions which are moderately implemented among

secondary schools.

The overall issues and concerns in the Implementation of the

Organizational Development Interventions were slightly serious however time

constraint was a serious issue on ODI implementations.

A significant relationship existed between the Organizational Development

Interventions Implemented and School Performance.

It is recommended that organizational development interventions be fully

implemented to better serve its purpose of improving school performance.
