I. TARGETS

General: The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in


interpreting technical drawings and work plans

Specific: The learners shall be able to read and interpret technical drawings and
work plans accurately
a) Identify signs and symbols used in technical drawing
b) Analyze data indicated in the technical drawing

C. Technical Drafting concepts:


a. Drawing – an art of representing object by means of line and shades
b. Picture - visual representation or image painted, drawn or rendered on a
flat surface
c. Process - a series of action , changes or functions bringing about a result
d. Technical - pertaining to the useful or mechanical arts or to science or
business
e. Technician – a person skilled in mechanical or industrial techniques or in
particular technical field
f. Flowchart – a diagram that uses graphic symbols to depict the nature and
flow of the steps in process
g. Tool kit – a small bag or box equipped with hand tools
h. Video display terminal – a computer terminal having a video display that
uses cathode-ray tube

Assessment Purpose: To create performance based assessment tool and to provide
feedback that is necessary for the interpretation of students’ and for them to learn about
blueprint targeting students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.
Target: Grade 10 students
Construct: Prezi Presentation
General Objective: The activity aims to engage the students in construction and to know how
to interpret symbols.

1. To understand the symbols in technical drawing and its measurement
2. To create a blueprint with their own idea
3. To interpret the blueprint and the symbols
