Designing a process and workstation for packing the suitcases as below

Process: The packaging process will be a below

 The packing process will be carried out at two work stations at Work station 1 and

Workstation 2.

1 - Packing Work Station - By Operator

 First receive the suitcase for the packing requirements by the operator.

 Operator will check that the suitcase contains all the required materials inside the suitcase

as per list. If not then ensure all required material are kept.

 Operator will check that SohnCo logo and company details are mentioned on the suitcase.

 Operator will make the packing for the suitcase as per agreed packing standard.

 Operator will check that the suitcase packing is appropriate and adequate.

 Operator will keep the packed suitcase in pallet of given dimension “48 * 40”

 Operator will push the pallet to next work station.

2 - Shrink -wrap Work Station By-Staff

 The staff will receive the packed pallet at “48 * 40” dimension pallet.

 The staff will move the pallet for the shrink-wrap station.

 The staff will complete the shrink-wrap for the packed pallet.

 The staff will review the completeness and adequacy for the shrink-wrap and packing of

the pallet.

 The staff will make the packed, shrink-wrap pallet ready for delivery.
