Well, there is no proper way to start my story. To give you a description of me,
Imagine a sixteen year old kid that goes to isolated places just to avoid the
awkwardness of having to find a sit at lunch. The closest Ive probably ever been to
socializing was when I was asked for directions. Needless to say I am avery anti social
person, which isn't so bad. Due to my lack of company I was able to get a lot of spare
time, and in that spare time I was able to do a lot of thinking. Which led me to increase
my understanding about things. Although this story isn't about my lonely life.
Prologue
The day start with the ringing of the school bell. It feels as if my brain is going on
autopilot . The bell then rings and everyone rushes to class. Entering the classroom, I
grab my books and head for my sit. I never notice how my place of sit is perfect for
me.It's at the back right near the window. Perfect for staring through space or
daydream. The classroom then goes silent as the teacher walks in. “Alright, get ready
for the quiz,” said the teacher. I grabbed my paper and ballpen when a student walked
“Jon.....Eve?” He continued.
He told me this as if he was confirming it. Nothing's wrong with this situation,
except for the fact that it's already the 3rd quarter and that's the first time I heard my
situation. Instead of saying anything, I just gave him my pen. “Well, this day's off to a
Spelling bees, Fund raisers and Sport events. But there is one that stands out from all
the events. That is the School Fair. The School Fair Consist of booths, rides and
vendors. Booths that you can play to win a prize. The prize depends on what booth you
are at. The rides are short and dull-ish since it's on school grounds. The vendors sell
either food or toys. The toys of course are too old for me. Everything fits in and seems
normal, Except for one booth. And that one booth is the infamous jail booth.
The jail booth consists of a room where the individual get's locked in. Whatever's
inside the booth, I don't want to know. The booth is observed by teachers and ran by
mature students, rest assure no funny stuff happens. The way it works is one "lucky"
student gets picked by the teacher, the student may be on Highschool grade, and on
any section. And he gets trapped there for at least an hour. Although that's not the only
way one get's in the booth. There's a more cruel way. Someone can pay the booth and
tell them who they are going to catch, Say a friend, an enemy, or you just wanna make
someone mad. And the teachers allow this. Now that's settled I won't be doing much
explanation. By now you've probably guessed I got picked by the jail booth.
could react, two people grabbed me on both of my arms. I would struggle but the ones
holding me were 4th year students, I had no chance. I was brought to the front door of
the jailbooth. They open the door and they pushed me in. Talk about keeping in act, It's
as if I really did commit a crime. The first thing I notice is that the room is…. well dark,
nothing much to say. As I feel the sides of the room I noticed something. Someone's
here with me. Not that it's unusual but I've been feeling the walls for awhile and I haven't
heard anyone talk to me. Surely they would have at least seen me get pushed inside
the room.
I had to ask, I was getting uncomfortable since somebody's here with me yet they
"Boo!"
I jumped out of my place. The sound wasn't just a normal "boo", it was as if an old man
"Ahhgg!" I yelled.
“What?” I replied. I felt someone shook there hand down but I still can’t see in this dark
room. Someone then grabbed me by my hand and shook hands with me.
“I told you my name, What – is – yours” She said it while stopping word by word.
“J-Jon Eve,” To be honest, I was quiet scared when this was all happening.
“Hmm, Alright then Jon Eve, Help me find a way out,” I then notice the voice change to
a more pitch like tone. It’s a girl. I couldn’t tell because she was keeping a deep voice,
For no reason probably. I was just standing as I hear the girl rustling through the
objects.
“Found it yet?” I jumped as I heard from her. She was serious about finding an exit?
I replied with “There is no exit, that’s the point of a jail booth. It keeps us jailed.”
“Tsk tsk tsk,” I heard from her as if she’s about to prove me wrong.
“Alright, Let’s make this interesting. The first one to find the way out gets the other
I would have probably ask about what she said but so far she hasn’t answered any of
my questions.
“But I’ve never heard of your name before…. Are you lying?” She asked.
Oh yeah she did introduce that she was in the same class as I was, I was too caught up
“Oh wait, you were the guy that was picked by the teacher on the jail booth.”
There really was an exit. I then see light coming from the exit she found. She
went out first, I then followed. As I got out of the dark room, I saw her. She had white
complexion. And if there was one word to describe her face, it would be pretty. Although
there was something your eye would catch before all of this. That would be her long
orange hair. It’s like light brownish that was mixed with yellow.
trying to get a dog in with him, but dogs aren’t allowed in the fair.
Well the day ended and I went back home. It wasn’t like most of my usual days
but it was more… Better? Oh well, Tomorrow’s probably going to be normal again. The
night went on and it was morning. Waking up and doing my usual routine. I went to
says “We are at the school fair.” That’s right, the first period is homeroom and we were
suppose to be visiting the fair. “Okay then…” I drop my bags on my chair and head
towards the fair. I didn’t see any groups of people so I assumed that my class was not in
I decided to relax for awhile since the day just started and I’m still dozy. That’s when I
heard someone yelling “Noooo! Whyyy!.” I rushed towards where the scream was, It
might be a robber, or someone in danger. Whatever it is I’m about to see it. As I pass
scene you’ve made.” But it was futile. Knowing her she’d probably do it with out even
“Jon Eve I don’t have enough money to buy the cool key chain!”
After buying the key chain for her, I walked around the fair for awhile with her
“Don’t you have a lot of friends, why don’t you spend time with them?” I asked
“I noticed that I don’t notice you so I’ll go with you this time,” She said.
“Don’t have much? I have none,” I was suppose to say this in my head but it went out.
“Alright then, the next time I win a competition with you, I’ll try to challenge you.”
Challenge me? What did she mean by that. Afterwards Homeroom ended and we
all went back to class. At lunch, I didn’t expect her to invite me to have eat with her so
when she while she was talking to someone I snuck out. I went to the isolated place
again. It was behind the Building where it was always windy at lunch time. Although
instead of eating I decided to finish the drawing she wanted me to do. “There,” I thought
to my head as I finished the dog drawing. After Lunch I went back to class and finished
the other subjects. I tried to find where she was seated. I excavated the class and found
her. She was at the first seat of the first column or the first seat of my column, where I
was at the very back. I noticed she looked sort of sad. I didn’t mind it, I just shrug it off
and thought she was just having a hard time with Math. When we had our second
break, I went up to her to give the dog drawing. She looked sad when I approached her.
I gave hand her the dog and she took it with her hand. With out saying a word yet.
“The ones that paid the jail booth were not my friends.”
