D. Product Study

I. Product and product line

Our product is a famous Filipino delicacy. We will innovate this delicacy

by changing its appearance and its flavor. We are thinking of adding twists to the
product such as banana polvoron. For now we are still developing the flavor for
our products to make it better. We would like also to sell it by bundles and per
piece.

II. Brand name and brand mark

The name of the team’s business is Bonbon Polvoron. We will be

producing our own version of famous delicacy. We thought of a name that will
best represent our product, something that is fit to the features of our product.

III. Features, Advantages and Benefits

 Features
The product has innovative features that outstands the original product.
First of all, our products are bigger than the delicacies you can buy on small stalls
nearby. We, as a consumer, are also being disappointed by some features of
normal delicacies. Some are small, some has irregular shapes, the team made a
slight advantage on our product.

Next is, the flavors and twists. Most of you probably are so uninterested
on boring and plain original products. As a consumer, we wanted new things.
We wanted to be encouraged to buy the product by its taste, not plain, but new
and delightful.

 Advantages
The products we will be marketing has a lot of advantages, not only with
its taste but also by its features. Our product is different than the original product
we used to eat.

Among other products, our products has twists that might attract
consumers on buying our well-presented product: Banana polvoron, most of the
polvoron have milk as a main flavor of the product, but for us, instead of milk,
we used banana as a main flavor.

5
 Benefits
The product itself has lots of benefits on the consumer. First benefit is the
sweetness and delight it gives to the customers, each bite and swallow gives a
sensational feels that makes them want more of our products. These products are
good sources of nutrition.

Bananas are rich in fiber. Upon which, there are 2.2 grams of fiber in a 1-
ounce serving of banana chips and also Bananas are a nutritious food rich in
potassium and fiber. Though banana chips supply essential vitamins and
minerals, you're better off eating a fresh banana. Banana chips contain large
amounts of saturated fat and smaller amounts of key nutrients when compared
to a banana.

IV. Obstacles and Risks

Challenges and risks are common to all the businesses. One obstacle that
we might and will encounter will be the lack of teamwork. Teamwork is
important in all group projects or businesses. Another obstacle is the lack of
financial money. We are still students that are depending to our parents we
cannot produce any product if we lack finance.

Risk will be the product that we want to produce. The product is unique
and the customers might be afraid to take the risk and buy our product. It is hard
to meet our quota because of our new and unique product.

6
V. Packaging

The team is planning to sell the product on bundles, each bundle will be
packaged on a well-presented paper bag which has the name of the customer
attached to a small string tied on it. Since it is the month of March, we were
planning a package that will be appropriate to the holiday corresponding to the
month. The team is still planning on per pieces packaging, we are still
developing a package that will simply outstandsomething that will make the
consumers buy more of our product.

E. Price Study

I. Pricing Strategy

The pricing strategy that we used was absorption pricing. This is a

method which all costs are recovered. The price of the product includes the
variable cost of each item.

7
II. Menu

This is the menu made by the team to promote the business we will be
running. The menu is composed of the following

 The logo of the business

 The products

importantly, this institution has thousands of students that could be potential
