The document provides instructions for designing 3 travel posters for the destination of Nassau, Bahamas. It outlines that each poster should highlight different aspects of the destination using at least 6 pictures each, and include the name of the destination, effects to blend the pictures, and additional relevant text. The student chose to feature fishing docks, beaches, and hotel rooms in their 3 posters, with their best design highlighting the beach because it would appeal most to the audience of people looking for a tropical vacation.

Design a Travel Poster

Congratulations! You’ve just been hired by ABC Travel Inc. to design their travel
posters for the hottest new vacation spots. Because your poster will be the featured
travel destination of the month, you’ve been asked to create 3 drafts for the vacation
spot of your choice.

You will design your 3 posters in ImageBlender. Consider highlighting different

features of the vacation spot in each poster to make them more interesting and visually
appealing. Use the Internet and pics4learning to find pictures that are appropriate to
your vacation spot and showcase the best parts of your destination. Follow the
guidelines below to design your 3 drafts.

Your Posters Must Include:

 At least 6 pictures (in each poster)
 The name of your destination
 Effects that blend your pictures into a cohesive picture
 Additional text relevant to the destination’s theme or purpose

Formatting: Be sure to setup your page as 8.5 x 11 with a resolution of 150.

Before you start your designs:

1. What travel destination will you be designing your poster for? Nassau, Bahamas

2. What three aspects of the destination will you feature? (ex: beaches, wildlife

and water activities)

a. Fishing dock

b. Beach

c. Hotel Room

3. Who is your audience? Beach-goers/People looking for a tropical vacation

Self-Reflection:
1. Which of your three poster designs do you like the best? Beach

2. Why is this one your best design? The beach was probably the best poster

because most people would find it appealing; the amount of people looking to fish

or have a luxury hotel room is likely to be smaller.

3. What other features of this travel spot could you have highlighted in your

posters? I also could have highlighted a water park, a jungle tour, or a diving

tour.
