Accessing Alpha

Altered states of consciousness are natural to adult humans, and when we shift our
brains' operation into alpha frequencies, we activate the capability and possibility of
healing, creativity, growth, and repair.

Self-hypnosis is an easy, enjoyable way to consistently access this meditative state of


mind. By practicing it consistently, we increase the opportunity for passive emotional
processing and connection with self, greater awareness and intuition, improved
reflexes, and even rapid improvement to sleep cycles, duration and quality over time. 

Instructions: 
Repeat following steps 1-3 times per day (easiest before rising from bed in the
morning, and before falling to sleep at night)

Find a comfortable reclined or seated position, pick a spot on the ceiling, fix gaze
there.
Take three slow deep inhales and exhales, close your eyes and command
yourself “Rest."
Progressively relax every part of the body head to toe.
Count down from 10 to 1 in your mind, and then say aloud, “I am completely
relaxed.”
When a few minutes have passed, choose one of the following:
Say an affirmation out loud three times, such as the following (feeling the
vibration of your vocal cords resonating as you speak): 
"Every day in every way, I am getting better and better."
Turn on an affirming or relaxing audio file of your choosing, listen to it and
engage with it).
Lastly, visualize your goal achieved, and make it full and vivid.
Allow yourself to stay in hypnosis as long as you are feeling peaceful.
When ready, count 1 up to 5 at the perfect pace for you, and say, “fully alert!”
