TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Memorial University of Newfoundland
Professor (Summer Institute for French Teachers) 2019
I was invited to teach a two week intensive graduate level course on the subject of differentiated instruction for
French Immersion classrooms. In preparation for this course I was responsible for designing the course curriculum
and curating publications that aligned with the course outcomes. I consulted with students throughout the course
and provided timely and constructive feedback.

Graduate Teaching Assistant 2018-present
I have been in the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant under the supervision of Dr. William Morrison at the
University of New Brunswick for the past two academic years. During this time I have attended student
presentations and research fairs. Most recently, I am sharing instructional responsibilities in the graduate level
course on the subject of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. These responsibilities include lecturing, guiding class
discussions and consulting with students during their collaborative group assignments.

New Maryland Elementary School

French Immersion Teacher (B Contract) 2015-present
I very much enjoy teaching at this school. I am challenged at every turn with different initiatives that are being put
in place school-wide. I have been teaching the French Immersion entry point for the past 8 years, both at the Grade
1 and Grade 3 level. I work closely with the Resource team and feel supported when working to improve the
education of all of my students. Technology is a big part of my teaching practice and students are engaged in my
interactive teaching practices.

Royal Road Elementary School

French Immersion (B Contract) 2011-2015
My years at Royal Road were rewarding and full of learning experiences. In my classroom, I guided students in many
enrichment projects and incorporated technology in different and meaningful ways. One of the more memorable
projects was an ambassador exchange with a private school in Fredericksburg West Virginia. Aside from the more
common pieces of technology used on a daily basis, such as netbooks, ipads and the SmartBoard, I frequently used
Senteo devices to help with assessment and provide excellent and interactive review.
