Off all the ESL companies why did you choose ACADSOC?

I did a little research and review about the company and all of
the feedbacks are good. They say that the students are nice and
the management are all supportive. Plus the system is so easy
to use. And hearing all those made me want more to be a part
of the company.

Where do you see yourself in 3 years in this company?

I see myself becoming a true expert and master at my role as a


teacher here at ACADSOC. I plan to really immerse myself in the
position, understand areas that can be improved on. Really get
to know the ins and outs of the business and look for
opportunities to make the finance team and department as
efficient as possible. I want to be able to extend my expertise
and offer help to others.

I would be happy to work as an online teacher for many years. I


though I don’t have any experience I am eager to learn and
improve my teaching skills and become a really good teacher in
five years time. Hopefully I will become a great teacher over the
years, someone the students will remember in good means, like
someone who had a good impact on them.

First, I want to be the best teacher possible. To do that I’ve set


two primary goals for myself. I’d like a position that challenges
me, one where I can continue to grow and develop as a
teacher. Second, I’d like to be a positive influence in the lives of
my students both cognitive and affective levels.

How do you build your student’s confidence?

I will boost my students confidence by correcting their mistakes


with grace and provide positive feedback when they‘ve done a
good job and encourage my students to learn more. Make all
learning goal-oriented.

What are the things that you do to make your class lively and
interesting?

The first goal is to gain the student’s attention and keep them
engaged. It’s very important that you design your materials in
such a way that it’s both useful and interesting for the students.
I believe students react better when the concepts are explained
through examples that they can connect with. Inserting pictures
or showing them flashcards makes it easier for them to
remember.
How will you correct the grammar or the pronunciation of a
student?

As a teacher, you’ll have to correct your students when they


make mistakes. Correction is really important and can’t be
ignored. I will correct their mistakes on the spot but won’t
make such an issue out of it and move on to the next lesson. I
will make them aware with their errors without affecting their
confidence.

How do you define a good ESL teacher?

Being good ESL teacher you should be passionate with your job.
They should be encouraging, patient and understanding the
individual needs of your students. Genuinely enjoy interacting
with the students and seeing their students learn and grow
over the course. Good ESL teacher should always remember to
balance learning and fun at the same time. And to do this a
teacher can use teaching games, jokes, fun activities to
motivate, teach and inspire the student.

How to get your student’s attention?

Good ESL teacher should always remember to balance learning


and fun at the same time. Make it entertaining. And to do this a
teacher can use a toys, an engaging video, teaching games,
crack jokes, fun activities. To keep them focused, motivated
and inspired.
How will you measure your student’s progress or growth?

You can have your students retell or recap the lesson you had.

How will you handle first class or first meeting?

I will make sure that my set up for my class is in place and I


have all the necessary items for teaching. And make sure that I
will come prepared for my first class by reviewing my lesson
plan. And lastly I will make sure that my student is having fun
while learning English.

needs perfectly. I’m patient, I’m passionate, friendly, loves
challenges, dependable and reliable. Most importantly I want

Why do you want to be an ESL teacher?

I want to be an ESL teacher for I think it is a rewarding career


that helps children and adults. I believe I can be a positive
influence in their lives. And most especially I would love to
share all my knowledge to the children and adults who needs
help to improve their English skills.

What are your greatest professional strengths?

My greatest strengths is the ability for learn from mistakes,


creative thinking, discipline and determination.
