About Me
I would say my character would be an optimist. I like to think I approach situations with a positive attitude
which usually works out well for me because I tend to meet some great people and it helps in situations when
if posed with a problem that I cannot immediately solve I can approach those situations positively to find a
solution. In my spare time I enjoy working with my hands, woodwork specifically. I am also quite an athletic
person playing for a seven a side football team alongside running and going to the gym. I have a passion for
camping and traveling especially in the Scottish countryside where I spend most of my time.
Education
Visualisations:
- V- ray, Revit cloud rendering & Endscape: I have used this rendering software for Revit and Sketch-
up. I will produce renders for facades, internal perspectives, landscape visuals and external
perspectives which I then will edit on Photoshop. I tend create draft renders for concept development
and discussion while concurrently working on final presentation images which will take some more time
to complete.
Presentation:
- Adobe Packages: For the past four years I have been organising and visually presenting work on
Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I am confident in my Photoshop organisation so I can edit
images and produce a photomontage without much difficulty. InDesign helps in creating a streamline
organisation method for printed A0, A1, A2 and A3 presentation sheets. A process which starts from
BIM where images are taken from and then into photoshop so they can be edited and then linked into
InDesign so pages can be organised and then printed.
Modelling:
- Physical: I work with small physical models as part of my design process in determining the quality of
spaces while also producing final presentation models. I have a lot of experience setting up files for use
on 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC machines.
- Building Information modelling (BIM): Archicad, Revit and Sketch-up. For three years our design
studio has had tutorials three times a week on Revit and Archicad while Sketch-up I have learnt in
spare time. I have worked on site models which have included large areas of a city for further context
analysis and I am currently learning how to use 3Dds max and Rhino both being like Sketchup and
Archicad which assists in its understanding.
Drawing:
- Autocad 2D and 3D: Creating plans, technical construction details, long sections, cross sections,
structural details and diagrams for four years.
- Hand drawing: Diagrammatic hand drawn sketches on tracing paper and on a graphics tablet.
