    Lesson no.4: The Magic Forest

    Specific objectives
    Students will be able to:
    - Learn a poem
    - exercise their ability of speaking about their families
    - complete sentences using specific words

    At the end of the lesson, SS will improve their understanding.

    Lesson aims
    - to get the students acquainted with numbers and colors
    - to get the students involved in the topic and develop listening, writing and speaking skills
    - to use interactive exercises for raising Ss awareness of discussing about themselves

    Anticipated problems: Ss may not be familiar with the new topic and make spelling/ pronunciation mistakes

    Materials: textbook,
    STAGE PROCEDURE INTERACTION FOCUS (SKILLS) TIMING
    1. LEAD - IN Teacher salutes the pupils and asks them how
    they are feeling. T-S Speaking 5min
    Frontal
    2. COMPREHENSION After verifying the homework T introduces the
    TASK new topic by asking Ss to open the text book at T-S Speaking 10min
    page 6 and look at exercise 3. This consists in Frontal Listening
    listening and learning a poem.

    3. PRESENTATION T asks Ss to pay attention at the poem and to T-Ss Speaking


    repeat it in order to learn it by outside. Ss-T 15min
    Individual
    4. PRACTICE T gives Ss a handout with some sentences with T-Ss Reading
    empty spaces to fill them with colors and Frontal Writing 7min
    numbers.

    5. PRODUCING T asks Ss to draw a number on their notebook and Ss-T Speaking


    to color it with their favorite color Individual 10min

    6. FEED-BACK T asks Ss to ask questions one to each other about Ss-Ss

    7. HOMEWORK T gives Ss home assignment. Write 3 sentences to T-Ss 3min
