TELEPHONE CONVERSATION

Setting: Mr. Pangue inside his office.


Mr. Gamboa at home checking the OLEX website in his laptop.

(Phone Ringing in the background)


Mr. Pangue: Hello, this is Kristoffer speaking. How may I help you?
Mr. Gamboa: Yes, this is Johnrev Gamboa calling, and I saw this item you posted on OLEX website and I
am interested in buying it, is this still available?
Mr. Pangue: Yes this is still available, do you want to schedule a meeting later this week to check it out?
Mr. Gamboa: That’s great! What are you doing on Thursday afternoon?
Mr. Pangue: I’m afraid I’ll meet with some clients out of town. How about Thursday morning?
Mr. Gamboa: Unfortunately, I’m seeing someone else on Thursday morning. How about Friday morning?
Mr. Pangue: Look’s like I’m free during that time.
Mr. Gamboa: Perfect, should we meet around 9 in Café Laguna, Ayala?
Mr. Pangue: Yes, 9 would be great. I will block my schedule this Friday morning. Is there anything else I
can help you with?
Mr. Gamboa: No, I think that would be all. Thank you… Goodbye.
Mr. Pangue: Goodbye.

ACTUAL CONVERSATION

Setting: 9 AM Friday Morning; Café Laguna, Ayala Mall.


Mr. Gamboa rushing to the meeting place and Mr. Pangue waiting drinking coffee.

Mr. Gamboa: Good morning, are you Kristoffer in the OLEX site?
Mr. Pangue: Good morning, yes, are you Johnrev?
Mr. Gamboa: Yes, in the flesh.
Mr. Pangue: Nice to meet you, please have a seat, how’s your trip going here?
Mr. Gamboa: Thank you, it was fine, got stuck in the traffic but the good thing I left off early.
Mr. Pangue: Good to hear. Here’s the item you are inquiring, by the way, go ahead and have a look if
you’re okay with it.
(Check the item for a while)
Mr. Gamboa: It still looks great! How long did you have it with you?
Mr. Pangue: A couple of months, I haven’t used it that much yet because I was very busy with work
these days.
Mr. Gamboa: I see, why are you selling it then?
Mr. Pangue: My sister gave me a brand new speaker and I think that it would be impractical to have two
of these, so I decided to post it online in case someone will be interested to have it.
Mr. Gamboa: Okay, I love it. I think I’ll take it.
Mr. Pangue: Great! I assure you that this item is still in perfect shape.
Mr. Gamboa: Would you mind if I test it?
Mr. Pangue: Sure! Go ahead.
(Plays music in the item bought)
Mr. Gamboa: Here’s my payment, just as indicated on the website.
Mr. Pangue: Thank you! If ever you encounter some problem with the item please don’t hesitate to
reach out, I assume you already have my contact.
Mr. Gamboa: Thank you very much as well, I would surely do.
Mr. Pangue: It’s nice doing business with you.
(Handshake)
