The field is hereby informed on the conduct of 2019 Division Schools Press Conference to be hosted by the Municipality of Sibonga on November 13-15, 2019 with the theme “Empowering Community through Campus Journalism.” 2. This aims to: a. hone the journalistic skills of the budding writers from both public and private elementary and secondary schools; bb. show appreciation on the desirable Filipino values derived from campus journalism; select the qualifiers for the Regional Schools Press Conference 2019. 3. The participants are the pupil/student writers from both public and private schools with existing school publications who were declared Top 15 winners in the individual writing categories, like NEWS WRITING (English, Filipino), FEATURE WRITING (English, Filipino), EDITORIAL WRITING (English, Filipino), SPORTS WRITING (English, Filipino), SCIENCE WRITING (English and Filipino) PHOTOJOURNALISM (English, Filipino), COLUMN WRITING (English, Filipino -(Editorial contestants from Secondary), COPYEDITING & HEADLINE WRITING (English, ino), EDITORIAL CARTOONING (English, Filipino), top 5 winners in LAYOUTING for Desktop Publishing and top 5 winners in ONLINE LAYOUTING and the Top 3 winners in RADIO BROADCASTING (English, Filipino), Top 10 winners in Sinugbuanong Binisaya for secondary (NEWS, EDITORIAL, FEATURE AND SPORTS), Top 5 winners among SPA / COACH/TEACHERS in English, Filipino and Sinugbuanong Binisaya in the following categories: NEWS, EDITORIAL, FEATURE and SPORTS; while Top 5 winners among teachers for PHOTOJOURNALISM; MOST OUTSTANDING SCHOOL PAPER ADVISER (1 SEC and | ELEM); and MOST OUTSTANDING CAMPUS JOURNALIST (1 SEC and 1 ELEM) during the Area Level Schools Press Conferences which will be conducted as follows: DepEDAREA VENUE DATE ___ PSDS Southeast | Argao I October 14-16, 2019 | Mis. AND MISS DSPC 2019 5. The copy of the mechanics and criteria for judging for MR. and MS. DSPC 2019 is attached herewith for reference. 6. Participants are advised to be at the venue on Day 0 of every schedule of Area and Division Level. Coaches are advised to be vigilant especially during the MASS, Solidarity Meeting, Parade and Opening Program where attendance of all participants is a MUST. (Refer 10 the attached matrix for guidance). 7. Registration Fee of Php150 per participant (coach and writer) shall be collected to defray expenses incurred during the conduct of Area Level Schools Press Conferences and this shall be from Campus Journalism/SEF/PTA funds while Registration Fee of Php200 per pax for Division Level shall be collected to defray expenses on contest materials, certificates, ink, IDs, streamers, flash drives, tarpaulin, sound system, decoration, food and snacks, honorarium (judges and drivers), medals and trophies, transportation (gas) and rentals (tents, tables, chairs) shall be taken from School MOOE/SEF/PTA and from any available funds. Traveling and other incidental expenses of the participants shall be chargeable against Division/School MOOE funds while membership fee of Php60 for the school paper adviser and Php30 for the campus {journalist shall be collected from Campus Journalism/SEF/PTA funds subject to the exists accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 8. Early payment for Division Level of Php200 Registration Fee is required c/o MS. MARITES PERALTA (Division Disbursing Officer/Cashier) 1 to 3 working days after the conduct of Area Levels to wit; Southeast has to pay on or before October 21, 2019; Southwest is on or before November 6, 2019 while Northeast and Northwest will be on November 12, 2019 which is the Day 0 of the Division Schools Press Conference upon registration. Coaches are required to use the attached pre-registration form in four (4) copies. One copy of the pre- registration form shall be given to Ms Peralta, one copy of the receipt shall be attached with the registration form upon registration at the venue, one copy for the PSDS and one copy for the school. Membership fees of the coaches and campus journalists shall be paid upon registration at the venue (Sibonga National High school).9. The list of requirements is also attached herewith for guidance. 10. Teachers wito will be involved in this activity during Saturday and Sunday (Day 0 and awarding rites) shall be granted service credits and for Division Personnel/School Heads and PSDSs who will do the same shall be granted Compensatory Time Off (CTO). 10.
