Product expiration will also be tracked. The project will be developed using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, AJAX, Framework7, Cordova, PHP to create a web-based mobile app requiring internet access. PHP was chosen for its object-oriented capabilities and ease of web development.

INTRODUCTION

The pharmacy management system, also known as the pharmacy information system, this
medical information system is a client or server side based application.
An interactive application for managing both stock and expiration date which helps in
maintaining the records of the drugs, the users and the store’s details and also reduce the work of
searching the drugs. The main aim of this application is to apply technology in supporting the
pharmacist and the store to reduce the human effort on searching the medicine.
The user has to register with his or her detail with the admin in order to get access to the
application.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of this project is to develop a mobile application for the effective management of a
pharmaceutical store that will be able to achieve the following objectives:

 Ensuring effective policing by providing statistics of the drugs in stock.


 Maintaining correct database by providing an option to update the drugs in stock.
 Improving the efficiency of the system by ensuring effective monitoring of services and
activities of each staff
 To provide optimal drug inventory management by monitoring the drug movement in the
pharmacy.
 To ensure that there exists a level of restricted access based on functionality and role.
 To ensure that the system is flexible for users.

 To detect about to expire and expired products in the store.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

Product Expiration Management System is targeted to the small or medium organization


which does not have proper records of their products, also for those organization that deals with
products that expire, a proper system to keep track of product expiration is important.
CHOICE OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

The propose application to be built using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, AJAX,
Framework7, Cordova Phonegap and PHP as the backend. This is a web based application that
needs internet facilities to function. The structure of these programming language is very easy to
implement.

PHP has many merit and improved features such as inheritance, interfaces, and overloading
that make it a powerful object-oriented programming language. It is particularly easy to
develop web base application.
