A GUIDE FOR CONNECTING THE COMPUTER TO THE S7-200 PLC

USING THE USB PC / PPI CABLE

I will guide you how to connect PPI USB cable with PLC Siemens S7-200 or connect PLC S7-200 with computer
to download program without real PLC with software STEP 7 MicroWIN V4.0

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

B1: Connect USB PPI cable between PC and S7 200


B2: Check whether the computer has received the cable driver: Right-click Computer (This PC)> Manage

B3: In the Computer Management window, select Device Manager: Check that the Ports and SIMATIC NET
ports are the driver. If you do not have one then please see below

* * If you have not received the driver you download USB PPI Driver S7-200 download driver here

B4: Open the software program V4.0 STEP7 MicroWin SP9


B5: Select Communications: Display a table as shown below, choose Set PG / PC Interface::

B6 : You pull down select PC / PPI cable (PPI), select Properties to test the port.

B7: Select the same connection port as the previous Device Manager:
Click OK> OK> OK ... until it shows up as shown below and click Double-Click to Refesh to try the connection:

B9: You wait for the Search at 9.6 kbps ... process and come back to the result as shown below is successfully
connected :)

B10: Connection successful! Try a simple program, Download program to PLC ...
